I have used this abrasive roll for a range of projects and it has performed exceptionally well every time! Great package of thin strip sanding paper/cloth for lathe work. I use these for pen turning and the graduated grit of these works perfectly. I've used other, more expensive, sets before and these work just as well.

Great selection of the grits required to quickly make a smooth basic finish on all wood. Handy tear-off strip dispenser. The sandpaper strips themselves are high quality, slow to clog with even fine woods, and last a long time when used properly on a wood turning project. Like all good sandpaper, it’s important to match your work with the right lathe speed, and let the sandpaper do the work using correct (coarser to finer grits) technique and not trying to quickly force the smoothing process. These progressively finer grits also work best by blowing or brushing off the previous sanding grit thoroughly, before changing to the next finest; this stops you gouging the wood with a scratch that the finer grade of grit won’t remove.

These files are well packaged and easy to store without damage. They are made of high quality steel that holds up well under use on equally hard steel. The working surface is 8 inches, a little short for the larger tools, but fine for the smaller files which come in all possible shapes. A very good set.
