The media could not be loaded. honestly for the price this feels really nice and premium, it even has some nice weight to it adding onto the effect of a premium fob. the fit and finish is great, the only thing i'd change is the feel of the panic button as the internal rubber insert that goes under the plastic panic button is a little too soft to press and i found myself pressing it harder than usual, unlike the original Audi keyfob which felt easy to press and had a slightly stiffer feel, but its still manageable. the spring and button they used for the flip key feels really nice as well, the spring itself is really strong so it'll make you feel confident in flipping it open. it performs as expected like the regular keyfob, but do expect to scratch it since it is only plastic. another nice feature of this keyfob is that the ring hoop itself is made of steel so you won't have to worry about breaking it from tugging it. swapping over the motherboard from my old broken key was easy, though you will need a precision screwdriver set since it's held together by 3 screws just like the original. other than that, it was fairly easy to install, i would just recommend the manufacturer to adjust the stiffness of the panic button to something a little stiffer and to add a rubber grommet like the original fob to avoid having water leak inside it.

Does not connect power between battery terminals to circuit board.
With the new fob, the circuit board never gets power- no light or communication with the car when buttons are pressed. I swapped back the old fob's back half (with power terminals), which works (button light and car responds). I'm just using the front half of the new fob (with buttons).Also, the seat for the transmitter in the new fob is not snug so it will rattle unless you secure it with glue or tape.

2.5 stars rounded up to 3. I recently bought a used Audi and didn't like how worn the key fobs felt. They were quite slick, like a used keyboard where the keys have lost their matte finish. Overall, the new case feels sturdy in-hand and will definitely get the job done, but it took a deal of fitting that was probably not worth the time.First, there were no instructions on what exactly to do with the fob, and there are a few places where you can get hung up. Here are a few things I noted:1) Check YouTube for tutorials on how to get the back cover off. There is a tab you have to push in the well where the key locks in. Push that out.2)Once it's off, you're going to need the world's smallest star wrench, or be willing to break the case open. I have a set of star/torx wrenches, but there are two here that are several sizes smaller than the smallest I have. I opted to break it open.3) Audi has melted the plastic case in certain places to lock the main board in place. You're going to want to take a razor and carefully shave that off to release it. Only then can then pull the board out.4) There is an RFID chip in the top right of the case, under the board. This is possibly the hardest part of the disassembley. The chip is encased in melted plastic. It will take some time and finesse to cut it out with a razor or Exacto knife. Be careful as I'm sure it will render the fob useless if you break the glass.5) You'll want to put that chip in the carrying case provided, and tape it down. If you don't tape it in place, it will get loose and rattle. I did this and It was extremely difficult to get the carrying case back off once installed.6) Ensure that the battery contacts are making a good connection with the board. It's easy screw up. They should almost push the main board out of the case.7) While all the provided parts fit together just fine, once everything is installed, the locking surfaces of the spring loaded button, key, and case don't exactly line up. This creates pressure and makes it so the button doesn't push out very far. It took a lot of trial and error to cut the plastic to work just right.Quality differences:The OEM fob definitely had better overall quality. Though I didn't take photos, the aftermarket fob lacked the rubberized seals (for water resistance) and gold-plated battery contacts (better for supplying power). The new fob had slightly larger gaps in the plastic parts, and the Panic button was a cheap, bright red plastic. I just ended up using the original. Obviously, it lacks the Audi logo, if that matters to you.Now that I've done all this, I think it looks and feels great. The spring is SO much better and positive, and I like the new matte finish. I really don't plan on buying a second one, though, as I don't feel it was worth the time.All internal photos are of the old fob as I didn't want to reopen the new one.

You have to make sure you get the PCB level in the base. It is a snug fit
