Dr Mom Nasal Aspirator - Snotsucker

This product is amazing...I hated using the bulb syringe on my 5 month old, it was like torture shoving that thing up her little nostrils :-( With the Dr Mom, the tip sits just inside her nostril and is soft & pliable (not rigid like the bulb syringe), I control the suction, and it's very easy to clean.Judging from the pictures, it doesn't appear that the Pigeon brand has a stopper at the mouth piece like the Dr Mom's does...that's a major plus! I would love if this came with a carrying case, like the Pigeon brand does, though.I'm recommending this product to all my mommy friends, it's great!***Follow up***Had to change the rating from 5 stars to 3 :-( Like one other review, while I was cleaning it (I've had it for only 3 days!) the plastic flap came off! The construction is a bit shoddy, but it still works without it, now there's just the possibility of snot getting into the suction tube and hindering the suction... I'm thinking of purchasing the Pigeon brand and taking the suction tube from this one and putting it on the pigeon (but that would make for one expensive snot-sucker).

I love this thing for removing mucous (ie snot) from my babies nose. The end is a very soft rubber or silicone material that fits snug against the nose opening and will literally suck it dry and do it gently. My baby doesn't seem to mind at all. The suction created is created by me according to how much suction I put on the tube so I can suction with a more constant gentle pressure than a bulb. The bulb syringe I used to use has a much narrower tip end so it had to be stuck up inside the nose to try and get all the snot out which was often irritating to my child causing her to often cry while I was suctioning. This is a much more gentle procedure. The snotsucker also cleans up really easy. You simply pull off the end tip and open the part that traps the mucous and wash it out with soap and water. Everything is really easy to get to and clean thoroughly. I was always worried if I got the bulb syringe clean enough especially when my baby had a cold or infection since I could not open it up and really clean it thoroughly. Trust me you will love this thing for removing snot. I am buying another to give as a gift.

Originally I tried this and the "lid" came off and was going to get a refund but tried it again and found that you don't need the lid to make it work. The snot stays in the little cup and WOW does it work. After I got use to using it my older daughter actually asked me to use it when she felt stuffy and she's only 2-1/2 years old!!! This aspirator has a nice soft rubber tip not hard plastic like Nosefrida. I have one of those also and it doesn't work as well as this one so I'm returning it. This is very easy to clean, just warm soapy water & no filters to worry about. I just ordered another one and am going to refer it to everyone I know. And the customer service is wonderful.

I was trying this product for my grandson because I wanted to try this design compared to the nosefrida which I love but wanted a cheaper alternative. Unfortunately this product arrived unusable. It arrived to my home used, dirty and poorly repackaged with tape. I did not purchase a used product. Due to germs I did not want to handle it to return. I really wanted to like this product but sadly I cannot recommend this product.

This thing really works. I would have paid more.

This product worked well but after a couple of uses and cleanings, the flap that holds the boogies in the trap, tore off. When I received it, it was already just hanging on by a thread. I'm planning to try another brand of snot sucker
