Scarpa Men's Mountaineering Boot

Just order a half size up. Scarpa recommends this and it was true for me. My first trek in these was 19.5 miles with 7500 ft in ascent and descent. These boots are a dream. Slightly narrow in the toe box so I was worried for the descent but my foot stayed locked in with no sliding around and my toes would still wiggle. Still too early to speak of durability but I’m doing 50 ish miles over the next 2 days and the following week I will be doing a fully exposed 18 mile ridge with snow and ice and a combined 10k in ascent. I have high hopes so let’s hope they live up to it. Also, the outdry membrane seems to perform well. When my feet would get sweaty I would just stop for a quick bit and they would dry out fairly quickly.

I really can't review this product since i had to return it due to its very tight fitting. I wear 8.5 US 41 EU size, i ordered size 43 after reading reviews, but still way too small for me with medium wide feet wearing them at home. Feet expand at higher elevation and will become an issue. Consider going 3 to 4 European size larger for these boots. They are lightweight and also look very good and well made, but i suppose not for me as went to a local store and tried size 45 and still some discomfort for MY feet.

They really protect your feet from the elements. Especially from hard rock mountain trails (or no trails...) . Semi auto crampons fits just perfect, and they are light! Excellent purchase. Have not yet try them on really cold weather, but they look like they will deliver.

The shoe is a narrow shoe. I ordered a size and a half up to accommodate for my hiking socks and it still wasn't enough. The construction was excellent.

this product requires you to order a half size larger than you will normally wear, also be aware that they are not warm, even in thick hiking socks.

Boots run small so order a bit larger and account for thicker wool socks.

EU size of 42, must go up to 43 size on this shoes. But overall good quality and nice shoes.
