Victagen Universal Battery Charger,LCD Display Rapid Charger Smart Charger for Rechargeable Batteries Ni-MH Ni-Cd AA AAA AAAA RCR123A RCR123 IMR 10440 and All Kinds of Cylindrical Rechargeable Battery

Used this charger for three different set/brand of 18650 batteries. The LCD shows the battery voltage, which is very useful, especially for the batteries the charger indicates fully charged. The first set of 18650 batteries that I tried is the ones from my high power flash light, which has a built-in charger. Although the built-in charger indicates the batteries are fully charged, this charger shows one battery did be fully charged, with a voltage of 4.26 v while the other one is not. It kept on charging for 3-4 hours until the other one is also 4.2v. This is great!The second set was the batteries that come with the charger, which are of button top type. As the other reviewers pointed out, the charger makes the button top battery slip and slide and couldn't have a good contact, especially the right slot. A slight touch will make it showing 'nc' and stop charging. I was considering returning it until I finally found a good position to keep the battery remain in good contact. It took 8 hours to fully charge these batteries even though I selected the highest charging current (1A for both sides).The third set is a set of Panasonic 3180mAh NCR18650BD batteries. The batteries are flat top so they don't have the connection issue. The charger took 8 hrs (1A current) to charge the batteries to 3.94 volt and showing the batteries are fully charged. Initially I had thought the batteries are defective since according to the spec they are supposed to be 4.20 v when fully charged. I took them out and put them back in again and surprised to see the charger started to charging them again! This time it took the charger another 5 hours to finally bring the battery to 4.2 volt and fully charged.In summary, I didn't get the claimed 1A or even 0.5A charging current and the charger will stop charging after 8 hours. However, the LCD provided good information to help me decide what needs to do.

its actually pretty nice. i was doubtful of the 4 5 star ratings. but its pretty good if you only need to charge 2 batteries at a time. kinda wished there was an option to get flat top 18650s but still very useful. the only thing that would have been better is if you could use both batteries to charge with the usb port, instead of just the left battery, though it gets VERY hot when it is charging something like a phone so ventilation holes would have been nice to see.

I needed both the 18650 batteries and a new charger for a new Ultrafire flashlight. It charged them up to 4.11 volts.A REALLY nice feature is that you can also use this as a cell phone battery boost with the 5v USB outlet, so props for thinking outside the box.There's NO wall outlet plug. It comes with a USB cable for charging. I have an older ipad charger so it's no problem for me. The button is for changing the charging current, but it will default to a lower setting (0.5 amp) if it senses the charger can't handle 2 amps. The ipad charger allowed it to draw 1 amp.One bone to pick though. The design of the positive end of the charger makes the battery slip and slide around a bit. They don't really 'lock' into place, but it didn't affect battery charging. I can only guess it's because it can take several varieties of batteries and some may be the kind with a flat positive end instead of a raised nipple. (I actually have some 18650 batteries like that.)And in 'story of my life,' NOW there's an 8% off coupon AFTER I bought mine. Yeah, thanks a lot. Appreciate that.

When I got the charger, it came with two Victagen IMP18650 3200 mAh batteries. When I charged them and tried to use them in my flashlights, only one battery worked. The other one would not hold a charge or function in a flashlight. It was very weak compared to the pother battery. I tried swapping the batteries to make sure that it wasn't a problem with the flashlight and the results were the same with that battery. I even tried to charge it again but it still did not work right. I think that it is defective. For that reason, I gave the charger as a package deal a 4 star rating. I bought another brand of batteries and am currently charging them to make sure that isn't something with the charger. If there is a problem,I will update this review.

 I purchased this combo for a few reasons. I have a several flash-lights that accept 18650 batteries and needed a charger that could charge two batteries at the same time. I also needed an additional battery as well so I could have a spare on-hand. I could easily see bringing this camping and depending on what I needed, I could double-up my batteries for use in flashlights and/or in this charger as a way to charge my cell-phone, possibly iPad. Really great to have these options available in a small form factor.Pros: - Good display with useful info - Batteries included (combo item) - USB as input - USB power output works wellCons: - USB power output single battery usedI won't list it as a CON, but it would be nice to have is two USB output ports, one per battery. Charging two batteries simultaneously took about 4 hours. This is a very good combo battery charger with batteries included. I would buy this again.

Very pleased with this purchase. Come to find out the device I purchased the charger for is no longer working so I will have little use for it in the immediate future. But as for the charger and included batteries I am very pleased. I really liked the display on the charger. It is very bright and showed the voltage of the batteries as they charged.

Looks like, smells like, acts like a POS. Arrived as described but charger did not work, not even a flicker from the display screen. Purchased a NITE CORE product at the same time, worked great, charger the Victagen batteries, am currently testing the batteries, not anticipating an great results. Second NITE CORE product that worked great. This is not worth the agrivation to even return the charger.
