How far do these really extend? Please give specifics. Some say 3/4, others say 1/2, and another said 2/3.

I have the 2-tier under sink trays, 11.5" W, 18" D -- it slides out 11.5", leaving 7.5" still recessed, making it 2/3 pullout which is not as accessible as "full" pullout.Many kitchen cabinet slider trays (for 18" or 24" deep cabinets) have "full" extension slides, though. My bottom shelves have a 1/2" lip where the face of the cabinet meets the shelf. The shelf is actually recessed down 1/2" Will these work for me?

Unfortunately the bottom rails when extended are approximately 1/8" above the base. I had a similar problem since my cabinets had a 1/4" lip. I solved it by cutting two each 1/4" X 2" strips of Poplar bought from my local Do It Yourself store. For you I would use 1/2" X 2" - easy fix and by the way - you will really like using the roll out drawers.

The description says that i need "18 inches" for the 17 but i don't have that. can someone tell me the outside dimensions of the drawer? do i need 18?

I just got off the phone with Lynk customer service. The basket is 17" wide butthey tell you 18" just in case there are door hinges that protrude into the opening. Measure across the opening and include any door hinges that stick out from the sides of the opening. If the opening is less than 17 1/2 inches you should have plenty of room.

has anyone installed on the upper shelf of a lower cabinet? I installed them on the "floor" of the cabinet, want them on shelf above too!

Yes we did. We have cabinets under the kitchen counter.We installed the roll out on both the upper and lower shelves in these cabinets.I am very happy to have them. I have a terrible back problem and should not be bending down more than is absolutely necessary.So with the roll put drawer on the lower shelf I can now use either foot or a longish implement to pull out the roll put drawer and thus get items out fat more easilyHope this info helps

I just measured and the drawer sits exactly 1 3/4" above the cabinet floor. If your worried about loosing less then 2 inches of height then I'd say you need a larger cabinet. Installation was pretty easy. I didn't use the included drill template. Instead I installed the rails to the drawer. Then I set the whole assembly in the cabinet, aligned it side to side / front to back then marked where I needed to drill the pilot holes. Pulled it out and removed the rails. Mounted rails and installed shelf. Nice smooth even action. The shelf itself is well made and feels solid. My only complaint is the price. Could be $10-15 cheaper. We had searched in Australia for a roll out basket with fixtures on the bottom and not the side to no avail. Then we found this on Amazon. Received quickly and it is of robust construction and quality. Very happy. Easy to install and use. Happy to recommend.
