Just the right amount of information
I use Outlook 2007 in my business. As a sole proprietor, data accumulates and I wanted a comprehensive program to store various bits of info for future reference. I also wanted to be able to find it easily, sort and create specific customized reports. This book gives me concise instructions that I refer back to regularly in order to accomplish these tasks and and has truly assisted me in becoming more competent with Business Contacts 2007. Well Done!

A solution for Contact Management that still works with windows 7 and 10...
I don't like microsoft products, but with the migration to subscription services for CRM products Act, salesforce.com and such Outlook with business contact manager is still somewhat effective and works with windows 7 and 10 and office 2007 once you get all the updates installed.

Mostly obvious
This book is mostly a series of obvious steps for using each dialog, and so most of the material is not helpful for anyone with modest experience with MS products. I gave it 2 rather than 1 star because there are a couple of non-obvious (to me anyway) bits on using the limited BCM marketing campaign capability. But even there, more of the non-obvious is needed. For example, after setting up a marketing campaign, how does one add a new contact to it? And how does one update the status of each contact in a marketing campaign as it is executed? I may have overlooked the answers to both questions in the book, but I didn't see either and I'll have to experiment (and Google) to find out.

Good intro to business contact management
Although I bought an Outlook book, Business Contact Manager is a separate version of Outlook. It is included on Microsoft Office for Small Business or as a separate product purchased with Outlook. The book helped to take a lot of the confusion out of getting me organized to think in a more logical manner in dealing with customer information. The book is easy reading and well organized. I used what I learned to better organize and plan customer contacts and communication history and use it often as a reference book.

Managing Contacts with MS Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager
This book is well written and layed out. It follows an easy to follow format that allows the reader to view screenshots with instruction, allowing interactive use of the book if you have the software installed. Business Contact Manager can be a little overwhelming for novices or those new to outlook. The author bridges this gap by keeping things very simple for the novice but offering more advanced insights to the power users. This is a great reference book to have for BCM until you become proficient with daily use. Highly recommend.

Good selection of information.
I bought this book to become a little more familiar with Business Contact Manager. I had worked with an older version somewhat and found myself in the position of helping a client set up their BCM Contact database. Being familiar with Outlook advanced features and not considering myself a newbie but rather an intermediate-advanced user, I found this book informative without being too heavy. Just right for what I was looking for which was the ability to customize BCM a little.

Good book and program
Good book if you are an Outlook user as I have been for many years, hate learning new products or software but Outlook has fit the bill.

recomended by a co-worker
Boss advised team to purchase, not sure why when most of the info is readily available in online tutorials, worthwhile if you want it all in one place without having to scan multiple articles online.
