Clifford the Big Red Dog Costume, Small

Our 4 year old daughter loves Clifford, so this was a perfect Halloween costume. She is very tall for her age so I was worried about the size, but the Small worked perfectly. We will also be able to reuse it for our son when he's bigger. It's decent quality for the price - I definitely wouldn't spend more for the heavier fabric. It's open in the back so kids need to wear clothes underneath to stay warm. They way it was packaged formed a big crease between the eyes, so the head was a little crooked. We laid books on top of the face to crease it the other direction and it helped a little. Not a deal breaker though - we probably wouldn't have had this issue with the more expensive Clifford costumes but for one night's wear, it worked just fine. I would recommend!

Lots of posts about head being folded ours was fine, also more like a stuffed animal sho maybe the changed the design? I also didn't find it ran small, I ordered a size up like suggested he has plenty of room with a sweat suit under.

My son loves doggies and clifford. Overall, we like the costume. But the legs and arms are narrrow/slim so it would be difficult to add another layer of clothing underneath. It's usually cold here during trick-or-treating so I'm gald we ordered a size larger to accomodate another layer. My son is three and even a little small for his age, but I ordered the kids small, instead of the toddler size. Also the hood/clifford's head is floppy and won't stay up, so I will have to modify it with wire to stay upright. So i'll have to do a little work to make the costume right, but my son still loves it.

I bought this for my newly 4-yr. old for Halloween. It fit perfectly on him in our warmer climate. I think if a child lived in a colder climate and would need to wear more clothes under the costume to keep warm, then you'd want to buy a size bigger. Costume arrived looking fine right out of the package.

I was extremely happy with the shipping time and the quality of this costume. It does run small, though. Or maybe my child is just tall! I got a small (4-6) for my 5 year old and should have gotten a medium. Oh well, a turtleneck and some gloves made it totally workable. And adorable!

I ordered the size 4-6 for my average sized 4 yr old daughter, but on the bag it came in said "Size 4-6 for a 3-4 year old". Makes no sense why costume sizes are different than regular clothes sizes. So it's too small and tight for her, but she squeezed into it anyway and she still had a lot of fun pretending to be a puppy. It's cheap material with loose strings everywhere and the head piece was bent down the middle, so doesn't look nice. I guess you get what you pay for. Wish they had a bigger size.

This was a warm and comfortable costume. My son enjoyed being Clifford for Halloween. It did rip at the seam after only a few wears.

Both of my children wanted to dress up as Clifford this year; and with few options available, we chose this costume as it seemed to be a better match for our warm climate. Bad mistake! One of the first costumes we received had an issue with the red fabric dye bleeding into the white eyes and white bone, so my better half returned it for another several weeks before Halloween. The replacement suffered from the same issue, so we had to exchange it as well. In the end, we went though 5 costumes before ending up with 2 that didn't have the dye issue.So, we're now just a couple of days away from Halloween; and my better half has been working diligently to gently work out the deep creases and wrinkles in the costume and on Clifford's face so it'll sit up flat and straight. But alas, after trying off and on for several hours, Clifford's face is just a crunched up, crinkled mess that looks very little like the picture for this product. Further, the felt on the head piece is separating from the backing material and my better half has had to use fabric glue to fix it.Bottom line: If there were reasonable alternatives available, we would return these.
