I purchased the ECO-WORTHY Solar Fountain Water Pump Kit (10watt) to replace an A/C powered water pump in our water feature. The water feature is located in the corner of our property and quite far from an electrical outlet.The new solar pump works very well !!! In fact the pressure is at least double that of the electric pump, so I installed a flow valve to reduce the water flow. The solar panel is excellent during sunny days, however when clouds obscure the sun or once evening comes, the pump stops working until the sun is shining again.Since we like sitting outside in the evening and love the sound of running water, I went back to the distributor to ask if they possibly had a battery backup pack that the solar panel could feed during sunny times. They Did !!!!!The solar panel comes with a 16’ cable and an extension cable (16’) is also available. I ordered the battery pack and the 16’ extension cable and the setup now is superb. If you want a totally hands-off solar water pump installation - this is the one you need then. It’s a solid performer !!!!The solar panel feeds the battery pack. The battery pack supplies power to the pump. And the pump runs all day long and beyond sunset. It’s a perfect setup !!!!! The battery also comes with an A/C power charger that you can use should you have too many consecutive days of overcast. Just charge the battery pack and plug it back into the setup.I’ve attached pictures to show how my installation works. I did upload the pics And a video but can’t seem to find them anywhere - I’ll try again.

The media could not be loaded. I love this solar-powered fountain and its ability to create a natural water spring effect in my small garden. Although it's a bit pricey, it's been worth it for what I needed. I didn’t get the optional battery initially because I wasn’t sure if the pump would be strong enough, but it turned out to be very powerful. Now, I’m considering whether to add the battery for 24/7 operation or just keep it as is. Right now, the fountain runs from about 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, though I know that will change with the seasons as the sunlight decreases. Sometimes, even when a bird flies over the solar panel, the pump briefly stops but quickly resumes once the bird passes. I’m also thinking of getting another one of these fountain to further enhance that calming spring water sound.I also plan to replace the PVC pipe with bamboo so it looks more natural, but for now, the PVC pipe works perfectly.

I purchased this pump for a small waterfall fountain that spills into 2 other chambers. It's very easy to install and I love it, works great! The Eco-Worthy water pump kit 25 W, 410GPH Submersible Powered Pump & 25 Watt Solar Panel, provides enough energy to pump the water forcefully enough to spill over 2 chambers. It works great if the sun is shining and the solar panel is facing the sun at all times. Unfortunately, when the panel is not facing the sun, we lose water bc there is not enough force pushing the water to the next chamber and the water trickles underneath the chamber instead of going into the chamber. This could damage the pump if you don't catch it in time and the water level is too low. I love the unit but I really wish they had a backup battery for this ECO-WORTHY Solar Fountain Water Pump Kit 25 W, 410GPH Submersible Powered Pump & 25 Watt Solar Panel. If you do please let me know. We would love to enjoy hearing the waterfall after the sun goes down. Someone suggested this (ASIN: B085VWLD9S) Battery backup, it is compatible?

For a small pond with a small waterfall, I needed a small pump. At the pond I did not have electricity. Here's what happened. I searched for the best solar panel and pump. I tested the pump in a bucket. Worked great on a sunny day. A little be of clouds, forget it, pump did not operate. I continued. Installed pump in pond waterfall worked only when there was full sun. Finished up the construction then looked to power the pump. Pump broken! How could, I be sure? Since I am an engineer with 40 years of experience, testing to determine where the fault was straight forward. The point I want to share, it's not the $100 that I spent, it's all the time! I switched to 12V DC power sourced from 120V AC. Now, I have reliable power 24/7. I am using a 12V DC bilge pump.

I hesitated for a while because all the images I could find were of fountains and I was not sure what kind of flow this would provide for a waterfall, so I added a video of my completed waterfall. The water travels about five feet horizontally from the pump with about a two-foot vertical lift. The pump was very easy to set up and it was easy to add half-inch vinyl pond tubing tubing purchased elsewhere on Amazon instead of the provided fountain attachment to complete the waterfall. It provides just the amount of flow I was hoping for, robust and lively but not a torrent. Obviously it varies with the amount of sunlight, which is fine by us, but we were pleasantly surprised that it often keeps up a reduced flow even when the sun is shining through some degree of cloud, as long as it is still bright enough. It has worked perfectly for about a month so far and given us great pleasure. (I can also report that two of these have worked great straight out of the box. The first one I ordered I set up as a fountain just to test it, left it running, and I think an animal dislodged it - it ended up pointing out of the pond and by the time I returned the pond had emptied and the pump had burned out from running dry :-(. Back to Amazon for a second pump, which I was more careful to secure before leaving unattended!)

Please understand that this will only run the pump when there is direct and full sunlight on the solar panel. My yard is almost always partially shaded and so, my pump would rarely turn on.This should not be a problem if you have full sunlight, at least for part of the day and only want your pump to work during the day.The pump has good power and works good
