Not much to say, it does exactly what it says it should. Build quality is fair. Not a fan of the permanently attached cable, somehow I missed that detail when buying. But no regrets. It does the job. Zero issues whatsoever.

The media could not be loaded. USB-C devices are sometimes a hit or miss activity but this one seems to do what it claims it can do - deliver power to a small laptop and deliver HDMI, gigabit ethernet, and two USB 3.0 ports. While it's limited to USB 3.0 speeds across the cable (meaning only 5 gigabits per second of total available bandwidth) I was able to successfully drive a 1080p display while pushing out data via ethernet and running a disk speed test on one of the USB ports. There was some load balancing going on but it generally delivered performance as expected.The Ethernet port does unfortunately require a driver but otherwise everything else worked when plugged in. I was also able to charge my Macbook by plugging its power adapter into the USB-C port on the back of the Startech device. Note that its USB-C port is for power only and will not transit data or video.Of note: USB-C is a bit of a mess right now given how manufacturers can choose to implement the standard in very different ways. So you need to do a little research up front to make sure the USB-C port on your computer can deliver data, display, and power simultaneously. Some do all three while others pick and choose - it's all up to the manufacturer. Also - the maximum power this delivers is 60 watts - usually what one can expect from a smaller laptop like the little Macbook.Larger devices, like my 15" Macbook Pro and Dell XPS 15 require more power. What will happen in those instances is that your laptop will draw from the battery or not charge the battery to supplement its power needs when demanding applications are running.

Device does what it should be doing. Notes:- only one video output at a time (due to USB-C)- Ethernet driver required from vendor website- overall clunky adapter that will cause disconnections if you wiggle it only just a bit4 stars due to poor design but otherwise great

I was very wary about finding the right adapter; most reviews I've seen were either really good or really bad. I use it to connect a wacom cintiq 16 to my 2019 MacBook pro. I've been using this product every day for about three weeks now and have only ever used two connections (the usb port and HDMI) simultaneously, and have never had any issues with lag. There have been a few times where i've accidentally bumped my laptop and knocked the cord, making both screens flash black for half a second, but nothing extreme. Overall, my expectations were exceeded.

I am using this on my Macbook Pro while importing video from a camera and hard wire connected to my network. It works just as advertised and has been a lifesaver. I could find no other adapter that includes these four ports (HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet & USB 3.0).

It sucks! They didn’t mention that you CANNOT connect the VGA and HDMI ports at the same time - they are too close to each other and the bulky head of the VGA cable won’t fit if the HDMI port is used. So disappointing! What’s the point of having a hub if you can only connect one?? Will be returning this for sure

i have to constantly refit to the port on my HP laptop. my second screen keeps turning off otherwise. not sure if it's bad design or just a bad sample.

Great dongle! Not crazy about the positioning of the HDMI and VGA slots though. You cannot use them at the same time if you have two monitors using each.
