Stove/Counter MAT by RANGE KLEEN MfrPartNo SM1417SWR

The mat arrived bent on 3 corners and doesn't want to lay flat. There is a big white product sticker on the silver metal thst won't come off. If I wanted a nice counter top heat shield, this would not be it. I need it for outdoor cooking so it will be okay for that purpose.

I have a custom made cabinet of drawers that sits in between my Gas Stove and Fridge. It's got a Quartz top, but I'm always a little afraid of setting something hot on it. I've been using hot pads but I wanted something more to fit the entire space. This Mat fits like it's custom made. It doesn't slide around because of the backing and I can now set hot pots, pans or casserole dishes on it and now worry if the Quartz will crack, discolor or be damaged. It Wipes off easy and is perfect for putting a dirty spatula or spoon on it. Not too thick, but not thin either. Arrived in perfect condition and lays absolutely flat. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

I have enclosed a picture of my stove/counter mat with the sticker left on. The sticker was very hard to get off and once off some of the glue was left on the pad and I could not take off. If it was not for this, I would of given the mat 5 stars.

It will serve it's purpose, but very disappointed in how it was shipped. Totally unprotected. Sent in a plastic bag, not a box. Arrived dented and bent. Was able to flatten it back out, but still shows that it was obviously impacted by other packages since it has a thin metal surface. Hoping all of that doesn't effect it's protection of the countertop.

This thing had to work! We were planning a camping trip when we knew it was going to be raining buckets and we were going to have to cook inside. We knew the site had electricity but we'd always cooked with our camp stoves and open flame, so the decision was made to purchase a hot plate of some sort and a fire proof surface to put it on. We ended up getting the Aroma Superpot which we love and this simple counter mat. It's worked wonderfully. While gale force winds blew outside and water pounded the tent, we were inside, safely cooking meals in the tent. This item is lightweight so very portable but it will bend easily so careful how you handle it. It's meant to be on a surface so if you're using it as we are with edges free of support, you could bend it by mistake. No worries though, it bends right back and continues to be a great heat barrier.

I needed something to protect my counter from the slow cooker. This works great.

Overall the product was as expected and serves the purpose for which I ordered it. The only issue, which is minor was one corner of the mat was bent. Since it was not significantly damaged, I did not feel it was worth going through the hassle of returning it.

The product is okay but 4 stars cuz it's smaller than I was looking for. Wish it came in a little bigger size or that a variety sizes were available. Otherwise it us a good product and arrived on schedule.
