Great Bikes, will be nice for day trips
Great bikes, I purchased two for riding with my girlfriend in Colorado. You just have to be a little handy when assembling. The fender brackets were a little tweaked from transport, so I bent them back in position using some tools any handyman would have. Other than that, they are well made and I’m glad I purchased them. Like that they can easily fold and transport in a compact car with gasoline prices as high as they are. Good luck, I would say give it shot, it beats buying a$500.00 bike at local bike shops.

spare transportation
This is an excellent product and transitions well between storage and use.

This bike will fit (very nicely) in a Milliard zipper case found here on Amazon
After months of looking I found a fabric zipper case that fits the Schwinn Hinge: "Milliard Carry Case 4" Tri-Fold Mattress (Does Not Fit 6 inch) (cot)" aka "COMIN18JU070802" Other folks have reviewed the bike itself but no one could tell me where to find a good case for it! The silly bag that comes with this bike zips very oddly. I agree with other reviewers that it's almost impossible to get your bike into the Schwinn bag. The Milliard case zips all the way along 3 whole sides, it's a breeze to lay your folded Hinge gently down on one half of the opened case, then just zip it and tilt bike back up into standing position. Has three handles, on the top and ends. Personally, I lift by the two end handles, to spread the weight evenly. After all this thing is not designed to carry 32 pounds of metal. But it seems well constructed and will serve well for car trips. If you save the box your Hinge ships in, that's a good solution too, but the box takes up way more space than a bag. People have wondered what dimensions the bike folds down into. That's a tough question because of the way the handlebars flop over against the side of the bike. I hope my photo helps, I chose an angle where you can see it sort of resembles a giant wedge of cheese. Narrower at the hinge end, wider at the wheels end. 24" stool and ladies' shoes for scale.

$225 bike arrived with $70 worth of damage
Well, just like other uses, this bike arrived heavily damage and not fully as described. First, the bike is missing one of the two folding pedals, literally the one thing that made me decided to purchase this bike over others. Second, the rear brakes were completely shot, both arm springs are set so that they won't spring back when the brake is depressed, so the pads pretty much just ride the rim the whole time, this had to be replaced at the tune of $20. Then, the major kicker, came with a severely bent chain sprocket, this cost $50 at a local bike shop to fix, as you need a special tool to replace it. The only reason the bike is getting 3 stars is that the folding aspect does exactly what I need it to do and now that the bike is fixed, it is at least somewhat palpable for riding. Update: This bike has been a disaster. Along with everything above, I have been riding this bike maybe 10 minutes a day too and from my work building and parking lot. Everything has started to break. Front fender gets bent anytime you fold the bike, so now it rides the front tire. Same thing with the chain guard. Rear brakes have only gotten worse and are nearly impossible to get a correct adjustment on due to the poor design of the cable routing. Front reflector just spins and can't be tightened and there isn't even any good place to attach lighting to the bike to make it legal for night riding. What a complete waste of money. Might need to file a BBB on this!

Versatile, Light, Fun
I haven’t bought a petal bike in a long time. I am originally from NY but moved to cocoa beach FL and the big thing here is to ride a bike. I live in an apartment with not a ton of room, and the rain here has salt water in it so it can ruin your bike quickly. I also drive a small sedan, so the whole folding mechanic is super nice to have. It’s a great bike to ride through town but long distance and hills definitely not. I like the little rack thing in the back because i can put a tall boy white claw or my mini speaker in it. The style is retro and cool. Awesome bike!

Good, but check brakes and oil first.
Pro: Sturdy frame. Cons: Folding hinge very tight. Spray it down with WD40 or it can refuse to fold at all. Brakes came tightened too tightly, and had to loosen them as they were gripping the tire at all times. Most uncomfortable seat. Highly suggest replacing the seat. Personal annoyance: I bought the bike under the assumption it was a beach cruiser style as I saw it was a 1-speed. I don't blame the dealer, however, as I should have looked closer. Hoping to eventually replace the tires with backpedal brakes. Otherwise, the bike is very sturdy and reliable. I've deducted it to 3 Stars because the brakes aren't calibrated properly prior to shipping, and replacing the seat seems like a must. After that, however, great bike.

20 inch wheels mean decent torque even with one gear
Can confirm: my single speed version arrived with a bent hinge, no damage to shipping box, which makes me suspect malevolence (vandalism) against Schwinn somewhere in the supply chain. Bent enough to ruin the paint protecting the steel underneath from eventual rust in the long-term and the bike could not function. Vice grips, a little elbow grease, and spray paint transcended the problem (it took about 9 coats of Krylon Gloss Bauhaus Gold from Lowe's to cover the dark blue-grey and match the accents and lettering). Flipping the bracket around that holds the rear fender helped center it above the wheel too, like it was installed backwards. Now, it's excellent. Five stars easily, if vandalism is truly the cause, ill marks can hardly be metered out for that. Whatever the reason, I wasn't going to let it stop me enjoying my first brand new bike! The single gear and 20 inch wheels makes for a great cadence with good torque if you aren't looking for high speed and want the convenience of a smaller folding bike instead of a 29 inch road bike or hybrid. In the picture, you can see the indentation and bite marks from the vice grips, next time I'd sacrifice some washers or something to sandwich in-between while bending it back into shape. Very happy.

Folded to acceptable size. Fit into the trunk easily. Easy to fold and unfold. Nice rack and carrying bag. Looks durable. Reasonable price. Fit for short distance ride. A bit heavy (not sure if the same weight is as advertised - 15 kg). Delivery on time - actually earlier than promised. Schwinn 14 Hinge Folding Bike, 20-Inch/Medium, Grey

No es tan fácil de plegar, ni de transportar con una mano, está pesadita, eso sí está bien resistente y armada es una chulada

Part of the Crankset teeth was dented on arrival, could be due to material handling during logistics. Easily fixed by bending with a plier. The steel material is selling point for comfortable and stable ride. The rear rack come handy for carrying bag.

Think before you buy. Great bike but consider storage, do you really need a bike, are you really going to make use of it. I didn’t and ended up giving it away. But if you fit all the former then this is a great folding bike.

Have some minor issues but can be fixed by myself. Worth buy!
