YES!!! THE BEST!!!
I am an avid cook, a homebody, and love to make people smile with food. Yet, I had to find the right utensils to bring with me for camping. Normally, I would have brought a plastic bag of all my utensils from home, but that was getting old and cumbersome. So I decided to buy the GSI Outdoors cookware set.LET ME TELL YOU, I DID SOME INTENSE RESEARCH. I needed my cookware for camping to be lightweight and NOT SCRATCH MY PANS!!! On amazon there are a million camping cookware sets, but ultimately it comes down to what COOKWARE you're using and what kind of cooking you do (family portions, BBQ, grilling, 2-person meals, dehydrated or instant foods). My cookware consists of nonstick aluminum pans or pots and if we're feeling lazy my cast irons (I know its heavy) when I go camping. I normally cook larger dishes with rice, veggies, and meat. For the nonstick pans, I don't want to scratch the coating, the same goes for my cast iron. These utensils are awesome because they DO NOT scratch my pans, and offer amazing cleanup and organization.Pros:- AMAZING organization. I love how everything has a place in its pouch. You also have the space to fill it up with other things like spices or other smaller utensils (say chopsticks)- Durable feel. I was skeptical because of the plastic feel, but I realized this was a good option because it wouldn't scratch my pans or be too heavy- It has everything you need, plus storage for things you want to add.Cons:- I wish there were items like more spice containers or a pair of tongs.- The bag itself isn't the most compact, but it contains a lot which I appreciateOverall, it's great. Definitely top notch and already made incredible meals from it.

Worth it! Utensils lock securely in open position and are sturdy.
I was a little hesitant to pick this up given the price and knowing that it's only going to get used a few times a year for front-country camping (no need to carry a full cook set on a proper backpacking trip). It's small and light enough I could in fact take it backpacking if needed though, and it's really convenient when your goal is to actually go camping, not backpacking, but you've got to walk/hike for a mile or two to get to your campsite. It's also great for car camping, as you could certainly pack full-size utensils in that case, but this kit does the job at a fraction of the size and all in one convenient kit.The utensils lock securely in the open or closed position, are sturdier than some cheap kitchen utensils I've used, and clean up easily. Well, with the exception of the whisk. I've yet to have any issues with the whisk, but if you dropped it you could have some issues getting the inside of it clean where it actually retracts.I also picked up the folding tongs and they stow nicely in this case as well, and I threw in my MSR pot scraper/brush for easier dish cleaning, and there's even some room leftover for a few other small things if needed. Overall it's a pretty comprehensive kit and GSI makes quality products!

Great All in One Kit, piecing it together yourself would be better
Overall for what this kit is, its great. I have used it a couple of times already and found having something put together to throw in the camping bin to be very convenient. I bought this for causal car camping and found no quality issues.Pros: Compact, has the essentials, case is nice for organizationCons: Pricey for what it is, could easily piece this together at a store for cheaper. Whisk is very flimsy and would rather use a fork to whisk eggs.

Nice little kitchen set
I ordered this today for an upcoming camping trip. I was pretty excited to get the set. It's well built and includes MOST of what you need for a great camping trip.Pros: It has a little of everything, which is nice for your basic weekend camping trip (even longer). Personally, I think it's would be great for a backcountry trip as well. The set itself is very adaptable. I liked the fact that I could stick a couple of EXTRA things in the kit. For example, I included a can opener, matches, a silicone pot holder, a small Nalgene bottle of Dr. Bronner's (for dish soap) and another spice kit in mine. Also, I also bought the tongs to include in my kit. I think with these small additions, I have a great kitchen set. I liked the fact that even with the additions, it is not too heavy!Cons: I think the kit should include the tongs and leave out two of the four sets of dinner ware. I am not sure you need 4 sets of dinner ware ( I don't even really need 2 sets). I think adding the tongs would make it a more "perfect" kit. Having to purchase the tongs separately made it a little too expensive, but still a great kitchen set.

Replacement for my 30 year old set
I had an old GSI kit and after years of use and losing most of the contents I figured a replacement was in order. While the little pouches are pretty much not of use I swapped them out with my multi spice container. I did fill one with bio-degradable soap, but I could not even get the full bottle in, and the bottle is only four ounces, so I just squeezed it all back into the bottle. As far as quality that will be determined after we get back from camping later this month. It seems durable enough but we shall see how well it does on the trail. My last set I got was 30 years ago. I should have just bought replacement parts but decided the bag was starting to go, it was well stained and travel worn so a new one was in order. Hopefully this one gives me another 30 years of service. Since I travel across North America for a good 180 days a year I hope it lasts as long as my tent!

Great but too big
This has everything one would need for camping, but it’s way too big and not practical in my opinion. I ended up returning and buying a travel size one. This is good if you are not limited on space. It is not as compact as it could be for backpacking purposes
