An ideal solution for loose AA batteries
As a serious photo enthusiast, I was glad to find this Storacell by Powerpax "AA" 12 Pack Battery Caddy being offered here. Had seen a fellow photographer using the same battery caddy in yellow, and was impressed with the way that batteries could be removed quietly on location without zipper noise, as can happen with some battery wallets. This one is orange and holds 12 AA batteries, which is ideal for storage in my larger camera bag for backup in the field. This caddy dispenses AA batteries one at a time so that you're not fumbling when trying to load flash units or other devices, and it doesn't take but seconds to figure out that this can be all be done in a one-handed fashion. I've loaded it with my eneloop AA Ni-MH batteries, AmazonBasics AA Ni-MH and standard AA alkaline batteries, and they all fit perfectly. Because of the unique Storacell design, I can insert fresh cells positive side down and exhausted cells positive up so that they don't get mixed up.The Powerpax construction is quite robust, simple and highly functional. The design is quite ingenious in that cells can be extracted singly and with one hand. The material appears to be some form of sturdy polymer, and flip the battery over and you'll see they're a US-made product. What started this search for a better solution for battery storage was an incident during the winter, with snow on the ground. It was cold and windy, and I was trying to get fresh AA batteries from a device quite similar in design to this AA battery storage box. I was shivering, and dropped the box, spilling all of the batteries in the snow, resulting in a dozen white eneloop Ni-MH cells falling into the snow. I lost two of the batteries in the snow, and the one that I could retrieve were mixed up, fresh cells with exhausted. Some considerable time was lost drying off the cells that I could locate, and even more time was lost testing them to see which were charged and which were exhausted. After that I knew that there had to be a better solution, and this is just that. This Powerpax "AA" 12 Pack Battery Caddy has impressed me enough that I've ordered the Storacell by Powerpax Slim Line "AA" Battery Caddy, Clear that holds 4 AA batteries and the Powerpax Slim Line "AAA" Battery Caddy, Yellow, which holds 6 AAA batteries. Search around here and you'll find that these are available in a number of colors that should match your needs, and most of the popular battery sizes are covered as well. This is a highly recommend solution for anyone looking for storage of those loose batteries that we all have.6/5/2012

Clever Design, Heavy-Duty, Made in USA. You'll Love These!
I just ordered several versions of the Storacell battery caddies, including AA, AAA, C, D, 9-Volt and the larger multi-format cell caddies. You might think it's hard to get too excited about a piece of plastic, but I'll tell you why I like these:1) Well made, heavy-gauge thermoplastic — I don't worry about them breaking after repeated use;2) Variety of color options, although I ordered bright orange ones so they stand out in a drawer;3) The cell locking mechanism is simple yet it's easy to slide the battery out when you want it. Clearly the dimensions are just right so it's easy to insert, hard to fall out, and easy to remove when you need it;4) It appears you can insert the battery either way, so the design is fool-proof;5) Made in the USA. Hurray! I'll gladly pay a premium for a USA-made product, especially when the quality is built-in from the outset. The only downside is the markup from Amazon handling costs, which is why I purchased the "add-on" option versions which were nearly half the price of the standard "Prime Shipping" versions. The challenge for all low-cost products is that the stocking, pick/pack, and shipping costs are often more than the value of the product itself. I would like to see multi-packs of 5 or 10, which potentially could be sold more economically on a per-unit basis. That said, these are nice battery holders and I'm buying more!

Great idea, great poroduct
THE best way to store batteries. As a pro photographer I use batteries all the time, and this holder is the best I’ve ever come across. Batteries fit into holder firmly but not so it make it hard to remove….HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great for storing AA batteries
I am a traveling photographer and use off camera flashes. I need batteries for my speedlights, my controller, and my receivers. Fourteen batteries in all. Having these storage caddies make it super easy to organize and store the batteries. When I swap out batteries, I turn them negative end up. When a battery is charged I store it positive end up. Extremely handy.
