HerculesDG305B iPad Holder (OLD MODEL)

I have used this iPad Holder for several years and have no complaints. I own several other Hercules products including two music stands, several mic stands and a euphonium stand. They are all sturdy, durable and functional. The iPad holder works great for the smaller (iPad 2, Air...) in several configurations.

AMAZING. I knew it was going to be good, because I have a Hercules guitar stand, but I wasn't sure how well it was going to work and where I was going to be able to place it on my mic stand or how bulky it would look. You can put it around any part of the mic stand. I was nervous at first because I didn't know if I was going to want it on the diagonal "boom" part of the stand or on the vertical part, but when I got it I found I liked it better on the vertical piece. You can still see your iPad fine, and it doesn't block you so people can still enjoy your performance. I found that when putting it on, you have to make sure everything is screwed very tightly, otherwise your iPad will slowly start sliding down, haha. Other than that, this was a spectacular investment! Especially for playing those 3-hour gigs!

The Hercules HA300 Tablet Holder is stocky yet flexible. There is no way your iPad is going to slip out of this holder, it is secure. The clamp that holds on to the mic stand is well made and has enough contact area so that it will not slip. The tightening knob is generous and easy to get a grip on.The best part about this holder is the ball joint that mounts the tablet holder to the clamp arm. It allows the tablet to swivel and pivot to any number of positions.I posted a picture above of the HA300 on a mic stand.

This tablet holder is simply the best! It is built like a tank! Very durable and sturdy. My iPad sits very snug and I have no worries about damage. It can rotate to just about any position. And it frees up your hands while recording vocals or playing guitar and reading lyrics. It has two adapters. One for your mic stand. And the other to support your tablet directly. Very easy to assemble.(No Tools Required). I highly recommend this tablet holder for anyone looking to support and protect their tablet. I really like all Hercules products. The name speaks for itself. If you want support? You can't go wrong with Hercules!

I'm a musician and did not want to put my tablet on a music stand. I have an Acer Android tablet and took a chance on this holder. It was a good choice. The Acer Tablet has controls on the top, when in Portrait mode, which is how I use it for music charts. Initially, mounting the tablet as pictured, the single bracket covered the controls. I mounted the tablet "upside-down" then turned the holder upside-down, and it works great. The holder can be oriented many ways. I especially like the locking mechanism used to attach it to a microphone boom; 30 seconds to clamp and tighten the bolt. It seems to be very secure. I think, as long as you don't over-tighten the screw or the lock lever holding the tablet, it should last a long time. I've already used it at several gigs and had no problems and had several comments about a better way to travel with charts.

This tablet holder is the best! I got it a year ago and still think I made the right choice. The holder itself holds my tablet in place nice and secure. The little rubber edging ensures it doesn't slip out or anything. It come with three different peices that attach to the actual mic/music stand or whatever you're attaching it to. Makes it really universal and can be hooked up to almost anything. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a universal holder. The product was shipped rather quick and came ahead of schedule. Always pleased when that happens.

With such a high rating, I can only assume that the unit I received was defective. I am quite disappointed with Hercules, since I bought this based on my confidence in the brand. (I have several guitar stands that are just great.) The problem with this product is that the yellow tightening nut does not tighten enough to use the pad. When you tighten it, it just pulls right off the ball (knuckle). If you leave it loose enough to not come off, the iPad just flops all over when pressed. Pretty un-useable, especially during a gig.

The product itself is great but it's important to note that what is being sent is a different product altogether from what is pictured. I was looking to replace my old Hercules iPad Holder with the exact same kind as I'm accustomed to it's dimensions and it worked perfectly for my needs. My old holder was exactly the one pictured here. The one sent to me, however, is a much newer version and is entirely different. Although this new design does allow for more tablets (not just iPad), the downside for me is that the clamp no longer fits on the guitar stand as I had used it before. It also comes with different attachments than those pictured.
