Crave PowerPack PD Is Excellent In Hurricane Power Outages
The Crave 50,000 mAh (185 Wh) PowerPack PD Is Excellent In Hurricane Power Outages.I like the Crave unit because it has a large 50,000 mAh battery capacity and two USB-C PD (Power Delivery) Outputs / Inputs. PD 1 at 18W and PD 2 at 60W. The Pass Through Powering feature on the Crave was important to me. I can charge the Crave via PD1 and simultaneously run my HP Laptop from the PD2 60 W Output. The unit also has two USB-A QC 3.0 Outputs. I use one of the USB-A Outputs to keep my iPhone 8+ (with Mobile Wifi Hotspot) charged and powered via the Crave QI Wireless Charger. To connect to older laptops (those not having a USB-C PD charging input), I purchased the Crave Laptop Adapter Kit which came with a short USB-C cable and a barrel adapter to go into the laptop, such as shown here my older HP.I live in Central Florida (75 miles to either Gulf or Atlantic Beaches) and have to be prepared for Hurricane related power outages. Hurricane Irma hit here 3 years ago with winds exceeding 110mph and knocked out power in the area ranging from 2 to 10 days.Hurricane preparedness boils down to STAY or FLEE. We are prepared STAYERS if there are Hurricane related power outages. To FLEE often involves costs exceeding $200/day for hotels, meals, fuel. The Crave PowerPack PD at $199, would have a reasonable 1 day payback period. Well worth it.The 2nd photo (with desk and TV) illustrates the main items I need to stay powered if there is a Hurricane related power outage: (a) HP Laptop; (b) iPhone 8+ on Crave Wireless Charging Stand (will use WIFI Hotspot on the iPhone ... because will assume cable modem is not working) , (c) a spare extra backup 20,000 mAh Power Bank with USB-C PD 60W Output.Secondary items (top of 2ndphoto) I may want to charge and power during a Hurricane related power outage include: (d) Echo Dot, (e) Weather Radio, (f) LED Room Light, (g) LED Headlamp, (h) AA / AAA Battery Charger, (i) USB-C Powered Fan with 10,000 mAh battery, (j) 32 inch TV / With Offair Antenna via a Portable Power Station as shown in the photos. The 1st photo illustrates Primary 110VAC to charge the Crave Powerpack. Fresh out of the box, it takes about 5 hours to go from 0% to 100% Charged on the Crave PD as shown by all 4 Led Lights Lit.The 5th photo illustrates a Secondary Power source which can be used during Hurricane Related Power Outages. The main components are a 100W Solar Panel powering and a 12VDC Portable Power Station with a 300W Inverter. The initial charge on the Crave PD could last me 3 to 5 days. After that it would need to be charged back up from a Secondary Power source.. This can be done via 12VDC USB-C PD Car Charger in a Car or via a Portable Power Station such as shown here. The 3rd photo illustrates a 12V DC USB-C PD Car Charger to recharge the Crave Powerbank. I use the Necktek brand. The 4th photo illustrates using a 300W Pure Sine Wave DC to AC Inverter to recharge the Crave Powerbank PD.SUMMARY: The 50,000 Crave Powerbank PD is an ECONOMICAL & PRACTICAL MUST HAVE for anyone residing in Hurricane Territory or in other areas of the country which have Power Outages. For longer term outages I can also fire up my gasoline powered 5000W Generator/Inverter. But if the outage is only about 3 to 5 days I prefer the Crave PowerPack PD by far in combination, if needed, my custom made Portable Power Station & Solar Panel.

This product is really good
So I got this for Christmas, and ever since it has become a very useful everyday tool. I use this on my desk to charge my phone, headphones, etc due to a lack of available charging ports with my computer and electrical space (one outlet for everything). The battery has not died on me, I think it hasn't even dropped below 30%. I will charge it once it gets down to one light and it charges overnight and is good to go the next day. That is all great, but what I really want to talk about is how this thing survived a savage attack from my Roomba. For context my desk is about 3-4 feet off the ground and I have tile flooring.I left for class one day and was gone for like 12 hours. Our Roomba kicks on around noon and will run for a few hours. Anyways that faithful day I unplugged my device and the charger cord that was about 3 feet dangled off my desk onto the ground.I came home around 8 and found my Roomba parked back at its docking station crookedly so I knew something was off. But found my battery on the other side of the house smacked up against the side of a wall. The thing ripped the battery pack off my desk and dragged it by the cord all through the house dragging it on my tile and smacking it into everything it went around (desk, tables, couch legs). I picked the battery pack up and it had bent the USB charging ports and gave it a lot of ugly scratches. I was devastated thinking that it was broken. Especially after having it for about a month and having it become a part of my everyday life. Then I plugged something in and my device wasn't charging. My battery pack was broken I thought. Then I just tried charging it overnight. It has worked flawlessly since. surviving a pretty rough fall and being subjected to abuse at the hands of a robot.Buy this thing. It is an indestructible portable nuclear reactor. I am very excited to bring this to the field in a few months and using it to power and charge my sections TOC.

Good customer service
TLDR; They replaced a failed battery with a new one for me and I'm not sure it was actually in warranty anymore. According to my purchase date it's been just over 12 months and they replaced it anyway. Very pleased. High end companies like Bose have told me to kick rocks in similar situations. Things fail, it happens, customer service is what really ends up mattering. It fell victim to the charging lights flashing endlessly and would no longer charge or discharge. It has been really awesome in general though. This battery is so large that i can comfortably go days charging a m2 mac and ipad pro. With my old gaming laptop i could still manage most of a day which is good considering how much power it used even at idle. Really glad they replaced it. My smaller crave battery for my phone is still working fine and it's been several years.

First one failed and was replaced
When this unit was working it was awesome. I could run my laptop for. Almost 2 days and still charge my IPad, phone, watch, etc. I had this unit a little over a month when it failed. The power button to me appeared to be stuck, as the lights would continually flash as if it were powering up and then powering down again. It would do this until it drained the battery. I reached out to the seller and after quite a bit of back and forth (I eventually had to send them a video), I was given instructions to return the unit to them. Now another month and a half has passed and I still don't have a unit, or even confirmation that they are repairing it or anything else. I will update this if I ever get a working unit. UPDATE: I finally received a new unit after a lot of work on my part. (Reviews work!) I would give the unit 5 stars as long as it continues working, however customer service I give 2 stars. I had to push and be the initiator to get anything updated or done
