Rotor hat and vanes are e coated!
I'm replacing rotors and pads for a '98 ES300. I purchased these Centric rotors and Akebono Ultra-Premium pads. I'm a big fan of OEM but something such as rotors, I felt good about Centric. Around 2007, I installed a pair of e coated rotors on my 4Runner (can't remember the specific brand, but it's very possible they were in fact centric). On my Toyota 4Runner, the e coated rotors have stood the test of time and the coating is still 100% intact. They still attract brake dust and get dirty, but once washed, they clean up nice and shiny. And yes, I do periodically apply a wax/sealant to the rotor surface hats, which has probably contributed to the longevity of the e coating. This is why I wanted the e coating since the rotors on my 4Runner has been so durable after years of hard braking, high heat cycles, extreme heat and cold weather, as well as countless washes. Not much else to add in the appearance department. They are nicely constructed with smooth edges and a nice almost factory-like cross hatch pattern on the rotor surface. The rotors themselves are heavy metal which is what you want to act a heat sink. Without getting too technical, braking (slowing and stopping a car ) is essentially turned into heat. A big heavy ventilated rotor is ideal in holding and dissipating heat. These fit the bill and feel about as heavy if not heavier than the OEM rotors installed on the vehicle. The factory ones are rusted and although painting them was an option, having the e coating makes for a much easier install.I asked Amazon customers if the rotor vanes were e coated. Rust in Cali is not a huge deal, but I was more concerned about not having them rust out and leak onto the rims. I'm a quasi-car detailer for my family vehicles, and I'm meticulous about keeping the vehicles looking nice. I wanted them to remain nice looking and rust-free as long as possible. As the heading states, the rotor hats and the vanes between the ventilated disc are in fact e coated:). Of course I haven't installed them yet, nor do I have the ability test the true durability of this particular seat of e coated rotors, but based on my past experience, and the nice solid finish on this set of rotors, I have to believe that they will stay nice looking for a long time. I will periodically update this review to let shoppers know how they are holding up.Update, 07/08/15Just wanted to give an update. Still a solid five stars! My daughter said that the braking is smoother with the new rotors and pads (as could be expected with such hardware). The good thing is there were ZERO issues with the install and overall the rotors and Akebono pads appears to have been a good combination. I like this combo so well that I recently ordered new Centric rotors for the rear (I already had the Akebono pads for the rear). Initially, I was going to just replace the pads but saw some pretty decent scoring of the rotors, possibly from some aggressive pads from previous use and decided to update the rotors. Anyway... I took a few photos of the old hardware and new e coated rotors and updated/painted calipers (just to give you an idea how everything looks).

Centric quality for longevity
I replaced the rotors on my 2000 Avalon with these, I bought them based on Centric quality reputation. Upon installation of these rotors my pulsation was eliminated, it’s been almost 3 months, I’ve had no problems. I’m careful to hand torque my wheels to avoid distorting my new rotors. My pads were Toyota oem replacements and were only about 1/3 worn. I may replace the rears as well but for now I have no pulsation issues and plenty of pad life remaining so I’m going to wait a while. These were recommended by several Toyota Nation members.

high quality & well-made
In July 2015 I replaced the front disc brakes and rotors on my 2005 Toyota Camry XLE (2.4L). The front brakes were original and had over 103K and were getting thin. I installed new Centric rotors - part number 120-44079. These rotors are painted black and the stopping surface is beautifully milled with a cross hatch finish. The rotors are high quality, well-made and air vented. It was helpful having two 8M x 1.25 metric bolts to remove the old rotors which had rusted in place. I installed Akebono disc brake pads ACT908. This combination made a noticeable improvement over the OME brakes. I also flushed the master cylinder and brake lines and installed new brake fluid. The Akebono disc brakes did not come with new “pad support plate” clips so I transferred the old clips to the new pads. I would also recommend using “AGS” Sil-Glyde brake lubricant for greasing the caliper slider pins. The end result was a fantastic top notch front brake job for under a hundred dollars and the parts are shipped right to your door.

Great Rotor but not lasting that long
My car was due to the new set of brake, so I looked around to find the rotor that would fit the car (05 Camry LE). Instead of buying the OEM from the dealer, I found this product to be available. Bought this and had the mechanic friend to help install them. His commented that this rotor is much better than the OEM and would give a better brake when coupled with the OEM pad (made by Akibono, Japan) Akebono ACT908 ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Front Brake Pad Set For 2002-2010 Lexus GS300 or Toyota Camry . The rotor surface is hard and gives a better grip. So far, the brake distance is improved and no issue. I will have to see how long this rotor last.Updated 8/1/2015: After 2 years close to 40k miles later, the rotors did not hold up too well. After getting close to 2 years of usage, the rotor starts to warp causing the steering vibration. At certain point, it becomes intolerable to use since the vibration would getting much more noticeable. I drove mostly in on Freeway in Southern California with little local driving; no much rains around here either and a lot of stop and go Freeway traffic in between. The original OEM from Toyota lasted me about 80k miles longer than this set. Since it warped, I have to change brake pad also with the new rotor. I already switched to a different brand and will see how long the new set last.

Quality replacement for rotors on a 2003 Sienna
The rotors came straight and true. The epoxy coating was applied thoroughly and evenly. The old rotors were a bear to take off. I had to spray liberally with PB blaster around the stud holes and the center lip. I sprayed and pounded from behind with a masons mallet. It was not budging. I sprayed some more and walked away. The next morning (late in the morning) I got underneath the car, banged and turned, banged and turned and finally got it off. Thankfully these rotors have the extra holes so that you can use a bolt to separate the rotor from the hub if needed. I put anti-seize on the hubs so I doubt that will be a problem in the future. It's been a few weeks and no problems ...no pulsating... nice responsive braking. One tip...use a torque wrench to tighten the nuts evenly to avoid the possibility of warping the rotors.

Nice coating. Working OK so far.
Coating appears to be good, although I really won’t know how good it really is until a lot more time has passed. Rotors cleaned up easily before installation. Installed with Monroe ceramic pads. Flushed the old fluid. Bedded the brakes. Seem to be working well so far.

It only come as 1 piece and not a pair...??
This comes only as 1 piece rotor and not as a pair as I thought like the other brands. It would be nice if it is mentioned on the product description so people don't get confused when buying the item. If I knew I would have got another brand that comes as a pair.

Stable and noise free
I purchased the Centric rotor with Akebono brake pads. Works wonderful and the brake are stable and squeal free!
