Avengers: Endgame Soundtrack

This wasn't my favorite superhero soundtrack, but it was wholly appropriate in tenor and scope for the summation of 11 years of MCU films. Like the movie, this score is emotional. By the time I was done listening to it I felt like I'd been quantum jumped through every gut wrenching funeral I'd attended over the course of my entire life.The disc begins where Infinity War concluded with the dementedly bemusing Thanos score which instantly plants us at the center of the "decimation". From there it's everyone dealing with their post-decimation sense of grief, struggling to move on. Yeah, like real life. The track "Arrival" captures that sense of relief when you discover that someone you thought you'd lost has survived a devastating ordeal. Intimately tearful more than triumphant. Later, we get an emotional reprisal of those feelings from "Made for This". Then there are familial moments like "Snap Out of It" that makes you long for those conversations with lost loved ones you never got to have.Now it's not all doom and gloom. Most of the middle tracks are lighter and resurgent. There's even some good mischievous jazz blended in. But when we get to the most powerfully triumphant track, "Portals" the music soars into something so much bigger than an imminent superhero all-star victory. It's a joyful heavenly monument to everything the MCU has given us. Truly magnificent.But then we close with "You Did Good" and "The Real Hero". Oh man, more emotional deconstruction....in a good way. They might as well have thrown in "It's Been a Long, Long Time" for good measure, but I inserted it into my playlist version because it absolutely fits. The closing track is...thunderously triumphant, not just for Endgame, but for every wonderful film that has passed before it.Make no mistake: If you want a soundtrack to kill your cosplay party, this is the one. But in those moments when you want to privately reflect profoundly upon the decades you collected comics and lived to see 11 years of live action superhero perfection, you will love this soundtrack.

Alan Silvestri, quien ya aportara su granito de arena al MCU con las maravillosas partituras de "Capitán América", "Vengadores" y "Vengadores: Infinity War", es el encargado de cerrar con un magnífico broche de oro la andadura musical de esta primera era del Universo Marvel Cinematográfico. Y lo hace con oficio, con su magia habitual, y recordándonos, como hace la película, a las aventuras que nos han traído hasta aquí. Un disco que, aunque se queda un poco corto, con respecto a la edición en descarga digital, resulta indispensable para completar nuestra colección de bandas sonoras de Marvel. Se cierra un ciclo y quedamos a la espera de ver qué nuevas películas nos deparará el futuro y cómo su música nos acompañará en los años venideros.

Case arrived cracked, fast delivery packaging could have been a bit better but it's okay. Got here early ahead of schedule. Impressive.

I can't write a review for this score, as I am still in tears over the magnitude of emotion this music delivers and how the movie would never have exceeded expectations without it's presence. Just buy it and listen to the sounds Alan Silvestri has given us for a film that is amongst the greatest of all time. "Portals" clearly lets it all out and gives Avengers Endgame the greatest entrance in cinematic history!!! AAAAA+++++...seriously, this disc has been in my car and plays non stop over the last month. You will hear the themes in your head for eons!!

You knew at the end of Avengers: Infinity War that Marvel Studios would make another Avengers movie and that it would answer a lot of questions and had to bring back a lot of the characters so they could continue the franchise. All this was nicely done and you understood why some of our favorite characters died. There is a good cast of characters to work with going forward. Will be interesting to see what comes next.

I am a big fan of movie soundtracks! This one is wonderful--containing both strong, stirring, heroic (and familiar) themes and quieter, poignant, emotional themes (oh, that movie had some sad moments, didn't it?!). This soundtrack did not disappoint and has been a wonderful companion on my daily commute. (I also love that it didn't feel the need to add some pop song to it--I am not a fan of that on movie soundtracks.)

Loved the soundtrack music. I'm disappointed that an extended version is only available online (streaming) just like HBO did with Game of Thrones Season 8 soundtrack. And, Hey Marvel, where is the CD soundtrack for Marvel's Captain Marvel??? I I'm positive it was available earlier last year when the movie was out in theatres. I want it on CD!!!!
