Himalayan salt lamp with dimmer-best christmas gifts-best friends gifts

Purchased two of these on Black Friday because I love the last salt lamp cube I purchased. Unfortunately, the base on this unit is a super cheap looking plastic faux wood that's unattractive enough I'll likely send it back. I went back to the item description, and it deceptively (IMO) doesn't specifically state that it's plastic, so this detail is easily overlooked given the sketchy item description. The salt itself appears to be in good condition and is a rich salmon color. Have not plugged this in as they're probably being returned, but the hardware on the base is corroded from the salt, and the boxes for the included bulbs are encased in salt crystals (it appears this has either gotten wet or been stored in really humid conditions). I expect the metal bases of the bulbs are probably corroded as well.(I will update my review with pictures and my final action in the next few days, but wanted to post my review RE: the plastic base ASAP, in the event someone is considering that and a plastic base would be a deal breaker).UPDATE: Gave these lamps as holiday gifts. As suspected, one recipient called and said that the cord/dimmer unit in her lamp wasn't functional (I didn't unbox and test them beforehand) and one of the bulbs were bad. I contacted the seller, and they immediately sent out a replacement cord and bulb to the recipient, and did it so quickly I'm still wondering how. I'm upgrading my initial review to three stars because of the awesome customer service and how quickly the seller replaced defective parts of the lamp.

Not this color at all. Very pAle. I purchased this because it said Himalayan. It is NOT Himalayan. It is a pale pale orange Not like the picture color. Even paler then the lightness part of the picture. False image

This is a Brown2 color and it's simply beautiful when lit. Yes, it does have a faux wood plastic base but if that's a serious issue then paint it. The lamp was well packaged and is almost identical in color to the pictures in the listing.

I love this lamp. Its a cute decorative piece. I love the dimming switch. The only reason it wasn't a five is I discovered it had a small chip in it. I assumed it happened during shipping.

Light adjusts easily up and down.Plastic base would have been nicer as solid wood but other than that’s it’s really very nice

Got this as a gift for my best friend and she loved it. Bigger than I expected but it was a very nice gift. Thinking of getting one myself.

Very pretty and give a nice glow. Love that it can be adjusted to different lights with the dimmer.
