Meh. As other purchasers said, ads a plenty! Not sure I would ever reknew a subscription. Unless they were giving it away. The locations they choose to write about are obscure and would cost a fortune to visit on a regular persons budget. Interesting enough stories, but just not for a thirty something such as myself - even as my husband and I are sans children and he's a doctor.I've struggled understanding who their audience truly is. To active for much of the retired population and too costly for most folks. Get a Frommers book instead or Eyewitness Travel for a place you may actually visit one day.

Do NOT let your wife see this, I was trying to be nice by giving her this beautiful subscription ( National Geographic, you can't go wrong) but our bucket list trips on the refrigerator has exploded with places & trips. My next five years of trips is planned, this subscription is going to cost me some serious money...BEWARE ! p.s. My wife is very Happy, so I am... Happy Trails.

50% advertisements
Limited content with a ton of advertisements. If you're willing to sort through it, it isn't bad... But I wouldn't pay more than the $10 promo. Out of 100 pages, 43 had advertisements and this is not counting the pages that have some content along with an ad... So you're basically paying for half the magazine and advertisers are paying for the other half.

Gorgeous pics, but too many ads
Too many ads, not enough actual travel articles. The pictures are gorgeous though.

lovely magazine - full of great photos and interesting stories
I don't travel much (by choice) but I love the topic of travel and reading about different parts of the world and looking at photos, and this magazine is such a treat. Every issue is packed full of GORGEOUS photos - not just your typical panorama/landscape photos, but also candids of the culture, landmarks, people, street scenes, and day-to-day life. You get a real taste for the location, not just a mountain-top view. In addition, the stories are really interesting, and take a personal approach- instead of just listing resorts and amenities, there's real information about different parts of the world and what they are actually like, beyond the hotels and tourist hot spots.Whether you're an armchair traveler like me, or you venture out into the world on a regular basis, this magazine is so inspiring and full of great information.

AD and Very Little Content
I got two issues and cancelled the subscription because it has way too many ads and the articles are very shallow. If you are looking for the quality of a National Geographic you will be sadly disappointed in this magazine. How NG could let their brand be destroyed like this is a mystery to me.

We love to travel and this is a wonderful magazine. National Geographic has the most beautiful pictures. It makes you want to travel everywhere that they write about.
