RegaloMy Cot Portable Toddler Bed, Pink

We travel a lot with our twin girls, who are two and a half years old. We usually stay at hotels and most of the time hotels won't have two available cots or toddler beds, and the ones that are available will either be broken or look/feel dirty. After months of dealing with hotel beds, I finally decided to take matters in my own hands. First I tried a travel crib (I purchased it on another website), and then The Shrunks Tuckaire Toddler Inflatable Travel Bed, and then John Deere Pickles 21X42" John Deer Nap Mat, Down On The Farm and finally Regalo My Cot Portable Toddler Bed, Pink. Regalo Toddler Bed is without a doubt the best toddler travel bed out there. Here's why:* Travel cribs are way too expensive and seem better-suited for infants. My twin girls are tall for their age and at the age of 2 and a half, cribs are no longer as comfortable for them as they used to be -- Not enough room for them to move around or stretch their legs. Regalo Toddler Bed is a lot cheaper than travel cribs and is just the perfect size for a toddler. I'm guessing my twin girls (who, as I said, are both pretty tall for their age) will be able to use these beds at least until they're 4, maybe even longer.* Even the lightest travel cribs are a burden to carry around. They are too big when folded and even the lightest ones are heavier than Regalo Toddler Bed. I don't know how this may be possible, but Regalo Toddler Bed is even lighter than The Shrunks Tuckaire Toddler Inflatable Travel Bed. You put it in its plastic bag and carry it on your shoulder like a medium-sized backpack. You can even take it with you on a plane.* I have to say that John Deere Pickles 21X42" John Deer Nap Mat, Down On The Farm is even lighter than Regalo Toddler Bed, but you have to remember these things are called "nap mats" for a reason. They are NOT travel beds. While they may be good for a one or two-hour nap at daycare, I can't imagine that any child can possibly sleep comfortably on a nap mat for a whole night. It's just a wee bit better than sleeping on the floor. That being said, John Deere Pickles 21X42" John Deer Nap Mat, Down On The Farm is definitely the highest-quality nap mat out there. We use it from time to time and it's still going strong, even after so many washes.* Regalo Toddler Bed is super easy to fold and unfold. You can unfold it in a second -- literally. Even The Shrunks Tuckaire Toddler Inflatable Travel Bed takes up to 2 minutes to inflate with an electric pump. You should also remember that inflatable beds are made of plastic and they ALL have an unpleasant plastic smell, no matter what the manufacturers tell you. Because they're made of plastic, they also get molded very easily -- The The Shrunks Tuckaire Toddler Inflatable Travel Bed that I purchased on Amazon was covered with mold when I received it and I had to return it to the manufacturer.* I love the lovely pink color of Regalo Toddler Bed, and so do my daughters. I also love that it comes with a pink sheet. You can also use it with standard cot sheets.There are only two things about Regalo Toddler Bed that I'm not so happy about:* It's not thickly padded. It would be awesome if there was more padding. However this is not a huge problem -- We either put a blanket or a nap mat on it and it becomes super-comfy.* If your kids do not sleep in "big kid beds" just yet, you have to remember this is a toddler bed, not a crib. As such, it has no bed rail to prevent your kids from falling off. We solve this problem by placing Regalo Toddler Bed between our bed and the wall so that there's no way our kids will end up on the floor. Then again, this is a "toddler bed" and I would assume that most kids using this bed will already be used to sleeping in "big kid beds".So the bottom line is, this is a very good product. Highly recommended.

I bought this 3 years ago for my then 1 1/2 yo and have used it countless times - it still folds easily, has not tears or broken pieces. It has travelled all over with us, gone camping, and used regularly for nap time. It is the perfect size and lightweight, fits easily in a packed car

I had two for my youngest kids they used them were between 2-5. My oldest weights 80 lbs and he would sometimes just lay on top of it, but do not recommend for that weight. They are perfect size for small children. I used them while traveling to see family, grandmas house sleepovers, , in hotels, at home for movie nights, backyard camping you name it. Its easy to store and super light weight. Keep in mind this is not an adult cot so the material is made for smaller children. the frame is fairly sturdy worth the price. I had them for three years, they outgrew them and it didnt hurt because they arent pricey in my opinion. The material is durable. I would scrub them down to get marker and stains out. I would definetly recommend as a parent.

This is perfect for our travels! I purchased the additional padded sheet for extra comfort, and my toddler likes it well enough. It seems to be good quality and feels very sturdy. It is very easy to set up and take down. And the size when folded up makes it very convenient for storing and taking with us. Unfortunately, I purchased the pink one specifically because the images showed the carrying bag. Ours did not come with one, which is why I’m only giving 4 stars.

I was a little hesitant to buy this after reading the reviews, but the price was low enough that I figured it was worth a try. It arrived quickly (yay amazon Prime!), and the first thing I noticed was that there was NOT a bar across the middle (I'm guessing those reviews were for an older model?). We packed it up for our cross-country 60 hour road trip - It was so easy to pack, and the way it folded up like a small camping chair was convenient. She loved the fact that it was HER little space no matter where we were staying (and it made nap-time much easier too!). It was close enough to the floor that she wouldn't get hurt rolling off, but the way the fabric was attached to the frame made it harder to roll off anyways. The fabric wasn't really noisy (another concern I'd had from other reviews) - it was basically the same thing as camping chair fabric, so we put a crib-sized blanket down for our tot to lay on top of, just to make it even quieter. The sheet that was included worked great though.The removable sheet really came in handy when our toddler came down with the stomach flu. It took us a couple days to get it to a washing machine, and my husband said there was no way the sheet would come clean. We were both somewhat giddy when it came out of the wash clean and unstained. Probably seems like a silly thing to be excited about, but when you are super sleep deprived and exhausted, the little things like a clean sheet excite a parent. As any parent would expect, while the sheet was off the cot, our toddler had a second day with the stomach flu, and the cot got really dirty and gross. I used some baby wipes, and was shocked when everything came clean (then I sprayed it with lysol for good measure).The last day of our trip, my 10 year old jumped on the cot (such a stinker!), and it no longer folds up as tight as before, but it still folds up and fits in the included travel bag. For the abuse this cot got, I'm shocked it help up so well! I can't even imagine how our road trip would have gone without this cot … thoughts of tantrums, kicks in my ribs, nap-time refusal, and the two year old taking over the beds run through my head.For the price and convenience, this cot has been added to my road-trip-with-a-toddler necessity list!
