Easy to blow. Can go low or hi volume. Perfect tone
This is one of the best duck callers at any price. Easy to blow. Goes high or low. Easy to use back pressure for "chuckles." I duck hunted all my life in places like TX, AR, NE, MS, LA and Argentina. Phil guided for my company in Monore LA in the mid-80's. I have blown most of his early calls. This one is good as any---especially for the money. One call does it all!!!

Double reed raspy call works great.....
I see why Si Robertson liked this duck call so much. Very easy to use and doesn't take muck work to make this call really nice and raspy. Lets just say this call can become really loud without a lot of work on the operators part. Would definitly buy again.

Best value cutdown call
If I could only own one Duck Commander call, this would be it! Great sound, easy to blow and gets loud! I own several other Duck Commanders but this one is the best in my opinion. Absolutely best value as compared to other cutdown style calls that are much more expensive. I'm not saying it's better but absolutely best value - especially if you're a newbie.

Nice call for the money... compare to classic commander call
Just got this call and started playing with it, but have not used it in the field yet (will be putting it to use in a few days though). It is very easy to use, and is quite loud. I'm new to waterfowling, and my other duck call is the original classic commander, which is wood, and smells like some kind of cedar. Definitely sounds different than the classic commander call. The classic commander call, being wood, has more of a rich and raspy sound, but isn't quite as loud. While I haven't tried this duck picker call in the rain, noting the fact that the description says it works when wet, I assume it will perform better in the rain than the classic, as I've noticed a definite change in sound and performance when that classic commander call gets wet. I guess that's why you have a lanyard full of calls? ..... One thing that struck me as odd, but probably is not a problem at all (did some reading, people don't seem to mind) is the fact that the darn thing is bright orange! It's not blaze/hunter orange or neon, but it's pretty darn bright orange. While all the forums and articles seem to suggest that call color doesn't spook ducks, and that once they notice the call you should be shooting them, etc, I just can't wrap my head around the fact that a hunting community that preaches absolute camouflage (as compared to deer hunting) doesn't seem to mind that some duck calls are bright orange. Why not just a dull olive color? Get all decked out head to toe in Max-4, paint your face, get in your blind and then throw a bright orange call around your neck? Only thing I can think of is for dudes who don't use a lanyard and drop their call they'll have something that's easier to find?I'll update this post after I use it out in the field : )

Here Ducky ducky duck.
This call Quacks me up. (sorry not very funny) So does it work, That is really what you want to know. It makes a noise Quack quacklike that sort of deal. Now I live in a subdivision and the season has not started yet but.. There is this duck that flies in to my pool and then goes to eat the bird seed. Normally I walk out and she flies away. Now I start in the house She glides in from the West. Walks along the sun heaters pads on the top of the pool. I don't have a heater cause it costs to much I really don't see the need to get it I can keep the pool warm with the cover on it. I reach over and grab my Camo shirt and hat. which is crazy because they are color blind so what the heck difference - I think I am going to make a orange mossy tree design so I don't have to wear a vest. I start the Feed call Tin,Tin,tin,ten,ten,tin,ten... I never know which one to say cause on the You Tube you can never really figure out, Dude! You saying TEN or TIN I don't know. I can get up to with in 7 feet of her, if the starts to get spooked and walks away I start the call again she circles and walks back to the seed. I move in closer and then she walks away I call again she walks back. My wife was laughing from the upstairs window, I say "Get me my gun I'm gonna BLAST her." So since the season has not started I think this will be a Right Dandy Call.
