Speedy beader!!!
This is the greatest thing ever! I was able to string about 30 feet of beads in under an hour! I use a LOT of seed beads, this significantly speeds up the process. The included needle was too flimsy for the size 6/0 & 8/0 beads I was using, but since I was putting them on wire (not string), I just bent the end of my wire into approximately the same shape as the needle and spun them right onto the wire. Worked like a charm! The trick is to place the tip of the hook right up next to the outer wall and facing against the direction of the spin. Keep the refilling the bowl, it doesn't string the beads as quickly when there aren't as many beads to catch.

Defective item had obviously been returned, box taped shut again, and sold again
The item had obviously been opened, found defective, and returned, but instead of removing it from inventory, it had been placed back in its box, taped back shut, and re-sold. The item arrived in a paper envelope which contained a plain brown box, with the item inside its own packaging inside that box. The outer brown box was NOT damaged, but the inner one (the Beadalon box) was damaged on the corners and where it was taped along the top/front. In fact, it is obvious that the item was removed from the box, then returned and taped back shut.I removed the spinner and attempted to use it, but clearly it was returned because it is defective. The upper half does not spin freely because it rubs against the top of the wood on the bottom half.If the item worked as it is supposed to, I wouldn't have a problem with keeping it, but the resale of an item which obviously returned due to a defect is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Great for a child to learn to bead
It's okay but I like the ones that work off of electricity better.

Amazing
I’ve used it so much the ball bearing is no longer round. It’s real wood and helps me make French-beaded flowers.

Extremely poorly packed for shipping. BTW, it does come with a needle
Not sure how to rate this. The product itself is fine, and I would give it four or five stars. However, the way it was shipped deserves no stars. I've never had an issue with Amazon shipping before, so I was extremely shocked when my package arrived. See photos (although the damage looks worse in person). The spinner was shipped in a paper envelope with no bubble wrap or any kind of protection. It's no wonder the box was crushed, torn, and broken open by the time it got to me. It's a miracle the product wasn't damaged. It really should have been put in a shipping box and not just stuck in a paper envelope. As far as the spinner, I am very happy with it. It works as described. It does take a little bit of getting used to though. I found watching an instructional video on how to use it very helpful.I was surprised to see that it came with a needle because the ad said it didn't. That would have been valuable information to have ahead of time. They really need to correct that. I spent extra money I didn't have to (and can't really afford) ordering needles. The spinner is costly enough as it is.In conclusion, the product is good. It comes with a needle (making me feel a little bit better about the cost). But the shipping was the worst I've ever gotten from Amazon.

Picks the beads up quickly and I can finish projects faster!
I was dubious about this purchase, but after reading the reviews I decided to go ahead and try it. I've been working on a necklace with very small beads for along time and and it just wasn't going well. I bought the Spin-n-Bead Bead Loader and I am so happy. I was able to finish my original necklace, a bracelet, and two more bracelets in less than an hour. It took a bit of practice to get the beads to go onto the hook, but once I found the "sweet spot" it was like magic - they just jumped on the needle. The spinner feels sturdy and the speed and rotation are very smooth. It works better the more beads that are in the bowl. I've used seed beads and some larger heavier beads. The heavier beads work, but can sometimes weigh the J hook down so that some of the beads escape as I'm trying to move the hook. I like that it doesn't make a ton of noise and it's just fun.

Beads for everyone
This worked very well once the grandkids figured it out they had a foot long necklace in no time
