I Thank God for This Day! (VeggieTales)

I had purchased this beautiful book for my first grandchild in 2013. It still works perfectly!! Had my mom purchase it for the second grandchild Dec 2017. I was there for a few days in Feb of 2018 and was surprised and disappointed that the book has a warble in it.So its not at all pleasant to listen to!!! Wanted to contact the seller... all this is quite a bit of trouble... but am here checking into something else and i see this book that i WANT to give a 5 star rating... but for the fact it was a lemon?? Hopefully most of them work??? The first book i purchased so many years ago is just PRICELESS!! The kids would read and sing it to the baby while he was still in the womb...This second book... different experience so only 3 stars.

-Loved by Kids:We have this book in the church nursery (2 years old and under), and it's very popular. It also became the favorite personal book of a 9-mth-old boy I sat for. I just ordered 2 more copies for 2 sets of expectant parents.-Button is easy to push, even for infants: A lot of sound books have flat buttons that can be a little challenging for infants/toddlers because they have to be pressed in a certain spot. This has one big button that "goes in" when pressed, so it's easy. 9-month old boy loved it & kept pressing it on his own.-Song is sweet and doesn't get annoying even after hearing it 10× in a row (9-month old kept playing it over and over in his carseat until he fell asleep): Note: if a child keeps pressing the button while the song is playing, it will not re-start or stop, but will continue with the song until it's over. I think that's better because it could get annoying to keep hearing an interrupted partial song. On the other hand, I returned the "God made You Special" Board book, even though I liked the book itself, because I felt that the song was already annoying after a few times. ( I love Jr. Asparagus, but the song in that book was rather high and screechy).-Good message about counting our blessings and being thankful: I can't recall all of the lyrics at the moment, but I think that the book pages list (&illustrate) all of the lyrics from the song in the Madame Blueberry Veggie Tales video while the button just plays the chorus. I think it's close to:Because a thankful heart is a happy heart.I'm glad for what I haveThat's an easy way to startFor the love that we shareCause He listens to our prayersThat's why I say thanks every dayNOTE: If the song starts to sound watery and creepy, it's because the battery is dying, not because there's an issue with the book. It was fine after we changed the battery. (It takes 3 AG3/LR41 batteries which come included inside the book). Board book is sturdy/thick and smooth, which makes it easy to wipe down.

My 12 month old loves this book, it's his favorite. BUT it came w/batteries that were almost dead so I had to get replacement batteries immediately which cost $12, just as much as the book. I have $24 invested in a brand new book that's not worth more than $10. Besides the battery issue, we love it.

My 3 year old daughter received this in her Easter basket and has played the adorable song over and over again while she looks at the pictures. This is the song she always wants me to look up on YouTube, that's why I bought it. It's especially nice because I can change the batteries once it bites the dust from all the button pushing haha!

This was a great book choice for mt 2 year old granddaughter. The book is easy for her to handle. The pictures are bright and inviting. The story itself is very meaningful and she likes it to be read over and over. Pushing the button for her to sing along, was just icing on the cake. Great but!!!

This is my second book. The first one got worn out after 2 1/2 years of playing songs and being handled by my Grandson Eli. Now the second book is part of our next Grandson Isaac. The song is like gratitude prayer.

Who would buy an "audio" book if the audio doesn't work. Shame on the seller. They should have said the audio didn't work instead of claiming it was in great condition. This was a complete waste of money!

My son loves this book and its song. The story is so cute and he listens to the song all the time. We love the VeggieTales and this book is one of our favorites!
