Sue Devitt Triple C-weed - Great Sandy Desert

Okay ladies - I have been in search of the Holy Grail Foundation and Pressed Powder for years and I finally decided to take a break from powdered mineral makeup as my face just wasn't responding to it anymore. So I searched and searched online and after the many reviews I read about this product and thought that I would give it a try.The consistency is good, but it didn't go on my face well, even after trying several different approaches 1) Put a light moisturizer on first - didn't blend well 2) Put on Stila "Clean Slate" first, still didn't blend well 3) Put on nothing beforehand - yep, you guessed it, stil did not blend well.I have extrememly oily skin and I'm not exactly light skin, but not a definite Medium either. It was my opinion that the Sandy color would be perfect. Noooo, I was way off. I think the small swatches of color are too light on this website. The color I received, which was correct, would be great if it were the middle of summer and I had a great tan.I decided to not let the color be a factor, I would just use it sparingly. Well, then the whole not blending predicament foiled my plan.Had I sent the product back and received the right shade for my face, would my opinion be different? NO and I'll further bore you....after I attempted to get this to blend, then tried the powder and my normal eye, lip, cheek routine, I usually leave the house within 5 minutes of completing this task and begin my 20 minute commute. Oh my gosh, by the time I got to work, my face was an oil slick.I think this product would do well on someone with normal skin, but I can't reccomend it for anyone with extremely oily skin.Another downside...it's a tad pricey.I took a chance two weeks ago on Revlon Colorstay for Oily Skin. I think my search is over....well, at least until my skin decides it doesn't want me using this product again. That will happen one day after I go out and purchase a new bottle of it, you'll see!!

I discovered Sue Devitt about a year ago in Macy's as I was disgrunteld with MAC after over 20 years of use. I really figured that there was no product out there that would work for me and give me that airbrushed, natural, flawless look that I love. I tried Sue Devitt and I wasnt impressed in the store. It wasnt until I got home and applied the foundation (with my MAC foundation brush) that i was blown away. My coworkers all comment on how incredible and natural my skin looks. Airbrush finish. I do use a moisturizer regularly and even if I happen to sleep in the product, it does no damage to my skin and my skin still looks fabulous. Thanks Sue. Awesome product. Was skeptical about purchasing this product online as the tone did look slightly different to me than the product I purchased in the store. Did anyone else have this experience?

I really like this foundation. It has good coverage without being "cakey" and the color is just right for my skin tone. I have very pale skin (think ghostly white) and have a hard time finding foundations that match my skin. The "quiet and still" shade is warm and pale and blends perfectly into my jaw line. I wanted a foundation that gave a dewey moist look and this comes close. I add a bit of my moisturizer to the foundation as I have extremely dry skin on some areas of my face. A little goes a long way, so although it's expensive, it should last quite a long time.

love it, love it, love it !!! one of my favorite powders, but it is so small and gone so fast !!! haha... I need a bigger jar, it looks so natural, it doesnt leave your face all cake, I have a very sensitive skin and this powder feel soooo good,

This foundation looks great, goes on smoothly and lasts all day without turning colors. I'm thrilled with it!

Definitely more pricey than from the drug store, but works on my sensitive skin. SPF breaks my skin out, and this foundation does not have it. Covers nicely.

Goes on smooth, stays on, matches my skin tone perfectly... Love it!!

My sister loves this make up and it's no longer available in stores. She says the color and texture is good and she'll be able to use this till she finds something comparable at the makeup counter.
