Got this for some embroidery. Received two spoils of very strong, shiny thread.The only reason why it lost a few stars is because it isn’t ideal for embroidery, at least not by hand. The thread is very fine, so to get it to show up when I was working, I had to cut three strands to use at the same time. My fault though - I didn’t read the title properly (which states machine thread). Also, the little silver bits sometimes came unwound from the white central thread, but it was only when the needle rubbed a lot.It’s definitely worth the money, even with the setback of having to combine multiple threads. You certainly get a lot more value than buying a shorter length of embroidery thread that you have to separate, and it’s stronger too!

The actual threads are really good. I've machine and hand embroidered with the silver and am pleased with the results. The gold is quite dark (more Asian gold than 9ct) I'm going to have to try it on a scrap piece of fabric first

Lovely looking threads but a bit too thin and sheer for my liking. I haven't tried them on my machine yet because the large spools won't fit on my basic sewing machine, I have to wind them first. I have tried hand sewing with them as I wanted them for embellishment to hand embroidery....but I have to go over the same area because they are so thin. Lovely shine on them though, and overall I am happy as they are good value.

I read the various reviews about the size of these spools and checked the length, given as 7cm against my machine before ordering. On arrival however, the spools are 7 inches long and far too large for sewing on a standard domestic machine. Not a good purchase at all.

I bought this hoping that it would work in my sewing machine but sadly it tied itself in knots and was hugely disappointing.This product should only be used with an embroidery machine and isn’t appropriate for standard sewing machines or hand sewing. It is too coarse for most work.

Colours are gorgeous but the spool is too big for a sewing machine. I have tried manually winding onto an empty reel but it didn't work. A waste of money and still have to find a cotton to finish the project with.

It is not thick but it’s great quility , and colours are adorable, thank you so much.
