The KENPMA 17-Note kalimba thumb piano is an traditional African musical instrument consisting of a wooden board fitted with a resonator with attached staggered metal tines. How to tune the kalimba: 1.Tuner: Use a tuner or download an App; Android app: gStrings, IOS app: Instuner. 2.Tune with hammer: The pitch of a kalimba tine is governed by the length of that tine which is free to vibrate - the distance between the free end of the kalimba and the bridge. The longer the vibrating section, the lower the note. You need to change the free length of the tines. Start with the lowest note in the middle and then alternate left and right up some sort of scale. To make a tine flatter (lower in pitch), tap it out away from the bridge to increase its free length; to make it sharper (higher in pitch), tap it towards the bridge to decrease its free length. Un instrument qui ne tient pas son accordage bien longtemps.
Je l'adore ! Il est magnifique. Il est arrivé rapidement à la maison. Par contre, je dois accorder mon instrument à chaque jours et il arrive parfois qu'il se désaccorde en plein milieu de ma pratique, ce que je trouve dommage. Mais c'est mon premier et je l'aime malgré tout, je l'utilise pour me faire la main et je compte m'en procurer un de gamme supérieur ultérieurement. Je l'ai toujours en main !

I received the kalimba very quickly and I am very pleased with it. The only thing is that the description says it comes with two thumb protectors, but they weren't in the box. Other than that, it's fine.
