Neville Goddard: The Complete Reader

I really enjoyed reading every chapter in this wonderful collection of Neville Goddard's writings. I'm relatively new to Neville Goddard and to mysticism in general but I was immediately drawn to him (for reasons that only my higher being can tell) the moment that I heard him on Youtube. I am so glad I found this complete compilation by David Allen! It was such a pleasure to read and once I started, I could barely put it down, save to reflect on what I've read and to try and "test" myself. It was truly enlightening and I wish more people would know about Neville Goddard and his teachings. Perhaps then the world would be a more peaceful place once we all know who we are. I really wish now that I had read and heard of him when I was much younger and looking for meaning to life's vicissitudes. Now, I can be sure that my future will be better than my past because of what I've learned about who I AM really is and the power of the imagination. It only took me a few days to read this 542 page volume, but I really didn't want to read it too quickly and blindly despite how anxious I was to acquire this knowledge. Interestingly enough, toward the end of the book, Chapter 24 on Clairvoyance: "Count of Monte Cristo", Neville said "The revelation is so wonderful that when man first hears it he wants to acquire it all at once; but he finds that, after numberless years spent in the belief of being man, he has so completely forgotten his true identity that he is now incapable of absorbing this memory all at once. He also discovers that he can do so only in proportion to his letting go of all human values and opinions." I would encourage the reader to slow down and take the time to read and reflect on what is written on those pages. I, myself, will certainly re-read the entire book once again lest I missed anything important the first time through. Overall, the book is well put together (font, sequence, size, etc. - see pictures!), easy to read, and simply wonderful and enlightening. I would definitely recommend this great collection by David Allen and give it 5.0/5.0!

The most thoroughly and well explained book i have ever read on spiritual growth, how to heighten/expand one's consciousness and be the powerful creators we truly are, but have only forgotten. I had probably hundreds of "AH HA's" throughout this book. Author's knowledge, awareness and ability to convey it in such an easy to understand way is incredible. Also, to understand the full meaning behind stories and verses in the bible, and without dogma - it was beyond enlightening! Also, it is a very practical book, explains specifically how to actually apply the teachings of Jesus and cultivate Christ consciousness. I am beyond grateful I came across this book. I am sure it is a book I will read again and again and get more and more out of it. No other author like him and I have read many hundreds of spiritual growth books and have published three books of my own.

This reader is absolutely wonderful! David Allen has truly done an outstanding job compiling this. It has some of the best Neville Goddard books. It is surprisingly light and easy to hold, and the font is decently large considering the number of books it contains. The reader is also well bound and stays open, which is great when I am highlighting and underlining certain nuggets of wisdom. A suggestion I have is that as you read each book, search on youtube for an audio version of that book and listen to it to reinforce the message. For example, I searched on Youtube for the audio version of the Law and the Promise and found this one -[...] (there are several to choose from, but keep in mind that not every book will have an audio equivalent). After I read a chapter from the Reader, I would listen to the audio version the next day while getting ready for work or driving. I did this because while I found grasping the message intellectually to be understandable, practicing it, maintaining my faith and continuing to believe it over a prolonged period of time was challenging - mainly, because, as Neville Goddard suggests, we are very much influenced by our senses more than our imaginal minds. This practice is learning how to do the latter. I'm still in the beginning stages and have learned there is "focus" curve to these teachings. For example, when I revise my day as I lay in bed and find it hard to focus on the daily events, I remind myself that similar to learning how to balance in yoga, falling off, or in this case, being distracted by another image or thought, then coming back to focus is part of the practice. Keep trying. The more you practice, the better you will become at this. During the past two months that I have been grasping and practicing these teachings, I have found that I am significantly less anxious and more confident. I am empowered with the ability to choose how I want to feel. I can catch myself quickly when I start to imagine something negative and turn it around or revise it in that moment. Prior to this, I would get caught in a negative spiral, but not anymore. I hope to post an update about my manifestations in a few months. Until then, happy reading!

Am Ende des Regenbogens findest du den Apfel der Wahrheit. So der Titel eines alten Märchens. Hier geht es aber um die Wahrheit ohne Märchen. Ich kann kaum ausdrücken, wie ich mich gefreut habe, als ich die ersten Paperbacks über Neville Goddards Lebenswerk in die Finger und damit in den Kopf bekam. Diese Rezension schreibe ich gleichsam für die deutsche Übersetzung mit dem Titel: Bewusstsein ist die einzige Realität - von Daniel Gaddeh. Zunächst mal die Antwort, die ich eben auf fb einem Gruppenmitlgied geschrieben habe, welche mit diesem Buch, also der deutschen Übersetzung, so ihre Probleme hatte und bei jedem Satz stehen blieb: Damit hatte ich schon lange gerechnet. Persönlich finde ich, dass Daniels Buch sehr gut lesbar ist. Dazugesagt: Es ist überhaupt nicht einfach, den aberwitzigen Wahnsinn, den man uns seit tausend Jahren und länger vorgesetzt hat - und über zweieinhalb tausend so genannte Glaubensgemeinschaften wiederkäuen das auch heute noch, wobei sich jede dieser Gruppen ein Detail rausgesucht hat, das sie meinen besser zu glauben, als alle anderen. Dann haben sie sich in Frankreich und in Deutschland z.T. über 30 Jahre lang bekriegt und tun das auch heute noch. Aber es gibt eigentlich keinen Unterschied. Denn allen ist gemeinsam, dass es erfolgreiche kommerzielle Syteme sind. Die zwei ältesten haben es zu den größten Konzernen gebracht, die es auf der ganzen Welt gibt. Dagegen ist dieses "10 in 1"-Buch genau umgekehrt. Und es ist das einzig Mögliche, was jemand glauben kann, um wirklich ein autonomes und kompetentes Leben zu führen. Wenn irgendjemand das alles nicht versteht, dann lese er so lange und so oft, bis das Verständnis kommt. Es lohnt sich. In Wirklichkeit erklärt hier Neville Goddard die wichtigsten Inhalte der Bibel so, wie sie nur verstanden werden können. Und dadurch wird das so immens spannend. (oder können Sie sonst irgendwas mit einer Jungfrauengeburt anfangen?) Tatsächlich ist es so, dass die Wahrheit, dass ein Leben aus dem gewünschten Endzustand heraus ganz anders läuft, dass es beim Gestalten dieser Endzustände keine Grenzen gibt. Mal konkreter: Selbst wende ich all das schon lange an, alle wenden das mehr oder weniger bewusst schon immer an. Dieses Buch ist grandios und fördert die bewusste Anwendung, liefert die ganzen Grundlagen. Selbst lese ich im englischen Original. Da sind Neville Goddards Aussagen und Erläuterungen irgendwie noch intensiver. Und wenn man nun noch bedenkt, dass er das in den 50er Jahren in den USA gemacht hat. Jeder kann das prüfen. Selbst kann ich nur sagen, dass alle anderen Bücher über diesen Themenkreis nur an der Oberfläche kratzen. Kürzlich bin ich durch meine Beschäftigung mit Neville Goddard in einer technischen Entwicklung immens viel weiter gekommen, habe das Kernproblem gelöst. Aber auch hier fiel es mir schwer, die Zusammenhänge genau zu sehen. Die Prozesse liefen über sehr lange Zeit (20 Jahre). Danach, das nächste riesige technische Problem gelöst. Beständigkeit wird belohnt. In jeder Hinsicht. Wer nicht gewohnt ist, solche Texte zu lesen, der gebe sich bitte so viel Zeit, wie er benötigt. Ausdauer und Beständigkeit werden hier immens belohnt. summasumarum - das ist kein Buch wie alle anderen. Es enthält nicht die gewohnte esoterische Terminologie. Es ist aber auch nicht so, dass Neulinge dort eine Wissenschaft vorfinden, als würden sie auf einmal einen Band Experimetalphysik studieren müssen. Jeder, der guten Willens ist, wird das verstehen. Gerade erinnere ich, dass ich so manchen Film mehrmals sehen musste, um zu verstehen, was die Autoren und Regisseure gemeint haben. Selbst lese ich gerne in diesem Buch, also dem Reader. Habe aber beide. Die Original-Stimmung, den Timpbre, den der Autor setzen will, kann man nicht einfach in einer Übersetzung bringen. Ich kann nur sagen, dass ich bei jedem Absatz Neville Goddard dankbar bin, wie auch dem Herausgeber dieses Readers, dass diese ganze Verklärung, diese ganzen alten Zöpfe - um nicht Lügen zu sagen -, weg sind. Ich danke Neville Goddard für alle 10 Bücher, und ich danke Barry J. Peterson, der diese hier unverändert im Original herausgibt sowie Daniel Gaddeh für die deutsche Übersetzung. Einen schönen Sonntag allerseits. Übrigens, ich mag solche "Reader", ebenso hier gekauft habe ich u.a. Og Mandinos drei Bücher im Original sowie eine Gesamtausgabe Prentice Mulford. Alles ganz edle Stücke in meiner Sammlung.

I love his teachings. Sometimes he does veer off on a brainstorming session that can be different.
