I unpacked the product and found that the AC power cord was bad - no voltage at the connector. I wiggled the wires around and for a brief period of time the connector came to life and the pencil sharpener ran with authority until I tried to sharpen colored pencils. It was fine on the old ticonderoga #2 pencils that are made out of super soft wood, but the colored pencils stopped the thing like a A6 landing on a aircraft carrier. Shortly thereafter, the AC power cord went the way of the dodo, which left me using four batteries. At this point, the old ticonderoga pencils were more than a match for the motor and you would think that the colored pencils were made out of pigiron.Did I mention that this thing runs at about 80db? Not only will you realize you are attempting to sharpen your pencils, but your neighborhood will hear your sharpener run and jam with great regularity. It is about as loud as a blender chopping ice, but without the margarita reward.

I got tired of breaking pencils or cutting into the lead using a manual sharpener from the dollar store. I just bought this and now sped thru sharpening a dozen pencils in minutes. Now my child won't complain he is out of pencils for homework or to draw with.

The sharpener works great, and is easy to clean. Only negative side, was how loud it is. I won't return it because of that. But it's noticeably louder than the electric sharpeners I've had in the past.

So far so good. I've had it 2 months but used only 3 times. I wish it would auto stop when pencil is sharp.

It was a little bit noisy. However, I can live with that. The most important thing is that it malfunctioned after the first 5 minutes of use. It doesn't seem to be durable enough. The blade inside the sharpener stops at irregular intervals causing which makes for a longer sharpening time.

Makes a very sharp point. I can write 5 point text with a sharp pencil. Love it.

My 9yo loves this sharpener. So easy and makes a good fine tip.

This sharpener stopped working after sharpening about a dozen pencils. It's past the 30 day return period and now it's garbage.
