Difficult to hand tighten to base
I initially attempted to hand tighten this antenna to an MFJ base. Would not tighten down all the way leaving aboutan eighth of an inch of exposed thread. My signal was terrible compared to a cheap antenna this was to replace.I did some research online and decided to go with a pair of channel locks. I was able to tighten all the way down toa point where it had contact with the ground plane. Everything improved 100% from that point on. I have no wayto measure the SWR but only compare it to other antennas I have used in the past. I am happy with this one at this time.Just be aware of the above.

Works well
I use this antenna as a secondary antenna. I run a quad and radio. This antenna covers the 2 bands I use most and is noticeably smaller. I do wish it had the folding feature.
