Maybe the design for this hasn’t been completely flushed out for the 2018 JLU.. idk... but what I do know is that this takes way more than a few minutes to install. And unless you have unlimited brute strength, you made need a second set of hands to help with the install and the bungee cords are super snug fitting making it a real challenge to install.I’m currently giving this only 3 stars because of how frustrated my install has been... and it still isn’t fully installed. I’m currently staring at trying to convince myself to continue to wrestle with it. So it stands at a 3-star rating only because I can see the potential but also because I’m tempted to just remove it completely so I don’t have the mess with the other half...Update: I have changed from 3 stars to only one. Not only did I have install issues when I first received this. I have had my sunshade since the end of October 2018 and have had to contact the company more times that I can count to get more replacement clips for the front window. The clips weaken quickly and release the shade on a regular basis. After only having this product a few short months and feeling I’ve wasted my money - I am now looking at more quality brands in hopes that I won’t have this issue. I live in Florida where the sun is constant and a shade is a necessity. This one isn’t reliable. Spend your money somewhere else.

I don’t review much. This product needs one though. This is my second alien shade. My first was for a 16 JK. This shade is pretty bad. Installation wasn’t that bad but, the clips that hold the front of the shade are total garbage. Lasted all of 3 days before they started bending and coming lose. One won’t even hold and the shade has been on for 3 days. Had to use a bungee from my old shade to make it work. Very disappointed.....loved my first alien shade. Not so much with this one. I suggest researching other shades be fore you buy this one. It works, just barely. Those cheap plastic clips are bot gonna hold for long. Especially in the VEGAS sun, they’re gonna get hot and soften too much to hold the shade in place.

This shade is great and would be super easy to install if you just loosen your windshield to do the front mounts rather than wasting your time with the tool they provide. That process is super challenging and rough on your hands. It is so easy to loosen the windshield and just place the mounts with more space. its a jeep, don't be afraid to take it apart a little to make the cool stuff work. After install, this shade is great, easy to close soft top with the shade still on, not sure I will ever take it off.

Let me start by saying I order constantly from Amazon and never feel compelled to write a review but I had to. I absolutely love love love this product! Easy to install , although I did take the windshield down as other reviews suggested. Exactly what I wanted and and amazing quality!

Perfect accessory for a Jeep, installed it by myself in a total of about 20 minutes, alien has an excellent installation video on YouTube, many say the windshield has to be dropped to install, not having the smallest fingers around what I wound up doing was removing 4 windshield bolts and instead of removing wipers and dpopping windshield I just moved it forward a couple inches and clips were super easy to install. When installed shade is a perfect fit and sits innits place nice and tight, you can tell the minute you take it out of the box it is very tough high quality shade, over all a great item at a great price, I highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed

It turned out great!We did end up taking the windshield down, which made it MUCH easier to find where to fasten the clips.

Overall, loving it. It cuts down on the beating sun and definitely cuts down some noise while letting plenty of airflow. The directions say that you don’t have to lower the windshield to install the front T-bar bungies but loosening the 4 bolts made it a heck of a lot easier to feed them through - the plastic pull strap provided isn’t long enough to get a firm grip. When installing the rear shade, the bungies used across the sound bar were tough to get around, so I simply went with the alternate suggestion and used the extra long ones from the front shade - I’d recommend this as it also looks cleaner. A bonus...the little green ALIEN figures included in the bags! Again, love it and worth the $

Installation was straight forward after watching YouTube video and following instructions that came with these sunshades. Laying out the bungees so that they are positioned according to the shade location makes it easier than trying to untangle them as you work. Windshield mount and front shade rear bungees took the most time to install. Windshield was difficult only because of the angle and the hook coming off bungee. Rear of shade bungee took some muscle to get to go around the center roll bar. Rear shade took no time to install. Overall, very happy with the way it currently looks. No sags. Appears to provide the necessary shade for the cabin. Will report if shades change shape as they are exposed to warmer temperature or direct sunlight. My initial recommendation would be to recommend these to anyone owning a soft-top.

Fits perfectly on my JLU. Easy installation, I did opt to remove the windshield bolts to place the clips, made things easier for install.Seller was great at responding to my questions regarding shipping. Could not see the tracking, but was very happy to see it arrive early.Great product and would purchase from BestMart again!

what i was most afraid of when installing the mesh. And it happened. It’s not easy to install, and I can’t use it at all now. Will return it for sure

Shipping was super fast. It arrived nine days earlier than expected. Installation was fairly simple and quick. Fits well on my 18 Wrangler Sport 2-door.
