Franklin's School Play

We love Franklin books! This one is so sweet but I noticed they spelled the word practice with an s (practise) multiple times. Everything else is spelled correctly in the English form.

i love Franklin books, it is a great way to explain to a kiddie what to expect when going through a certain situation and Franklin books have the perfect ones.

Love the books for kids. And little kids love them. I just wish that you could find more of them for sale.

This is one of the 'original' Franklin the turtle book' starts out with the rhyme... Franklin can tie his shoes and count to twos' or something similar to this... "but Franklin can not..." and then the story starts. In this story I liked it because (as in some of the others) Franklin isn't bossy and mean or spoiled. He is given the lead role to play in the holiday play at school. He's super excited and learns his lessons well...however when they did a stage presentation before the opening night he was speechless! He couldn't speak! So one of hisfriends had to fill his spot when she couldn't talk loud enough he saw she was having trouble so he stood beside her and 'showed her own it was done' and got over his stage fright. So helping a friend helped him to get over his fright. No better way to learn something than to help a friend

Franklin is every young child's friend. They can instantly connect with the young turtle's sense of adventure and enjoy watching him work through familiar problems and solve them in his own way. All of them have been authored by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark. They obviously made a wonderful team, since they have sold over 60 millions copies in over 30 languages. The stories are engaging and the pictures delightful. I love these books!!!

This entire Franklin series is fun. My kid had lots of fun hearing all the lovely stories from me. Also, each story teaches nice things. Everything in these books is just what I would want in a story book for my kid. Just the right amount of text, matched with lovely pictures, and a meaningful theme.
