The books has a lot of good information. I would give it 5 stars except for all of the typographic errors it has. I don't think these errors are the fault of the author. These kind of errors would have been easily noticed when it was proofread. It must be a problem with the Kindle edition that I have. I'm reading it on a Kindle App on my IPAD 2. The section about the F-35B has f's replaced by capital N's in many places. Instead of the word flight in many places it reads Nlight. In the section about the Russian Swivel Nozzle Designs it reads "Nirst Nlight of the Yak instead of first flight. In some places the word significant reads signiNicant. It reads Nlight displays instead of flight displays. These are just a few examples of all of the errors. Without all of these many errors it would be an excellent book, but with them it is almost impossible to read.

Lots on information, poor formatting on Kindle version
I like that there was a lot on prose, pictures, and graphs, and suspect it was pretty accurate.Author seemed to go out of his way to avoid saying anything critical.Throughout, many 'f's are rendered with another letter or a symbolThe chapter on the 737-trainer is missing words, lines, and maybe paragraphs, so much so that often you cannot reconstruct what the author was saying.

Good anthology with good visuals
not profound look at F-35, but surprisingly interesting text by those who designed, work on, have flown, etc. Drendel is not so much author as editor of an anthology. Good photography. May now buy others in this series.

Great book marred by poor kindle formatting
The actual content of the book would rate 4.5 starts. Unfortunately, the formatting for kindle is terrible. From misspelled words to tiny photos and playing guess the caption. Take away from the experience. Physical books would have been better.

Enjoyable Book
I greatly enjoyed the book and felt the author did a good job tracing the history of the F-35's development. The photos complemented the author's explanation and helpfully showed the different variants.

I enjoyed the book
I enjoyed the book. It was very informative. I wish there were more photos of the interior weapons bay ( this is only from a modeler's view ) . and possible future versions.

A Superb Book with Loads of Information and Superb Photo's
Having only had this book a few days have only read a few selected parts which were full of information and some superb photo's of this awesome aircraft. I have had an interest in British military aircraft since I was about 7 years old,now 73 years old, before anyone shouts but this is not British it is built by Lockheed Martin but they will be on our new aircraft carrier, and 617 squadron "The Dambusters" based at Marham Norfolk are kitted out with them. There is a lot to read and I will read it cover to cover as I get the time, first impressions of the book are very very good.If you are an aircraft enthusiast like me I am sure you will enjoy it also. I will perhaps make an addition to this review later when I have read it cover to cover if there is more to add.

Kindle version needs to be proof-read again
I think this is good value for the content but the kindle version appears to have been badly proof-read, with the letter f being substituted for other letters at various points during the book

Dommage. Reste le texte.
