This one is going to surprise you!
When I saw this dress I thought, "Only a woman with a Lauren Hutton figure could pull this off," BUT I ordered it anyway. I am so glad I did. I haven't felt (or looked) this svelte in a knit dress in years! Especially in a thinner knit such as this. Without going in to age and weight details, let me say that gravity has not been kind to parts of my figure. I'm 5' 5", and, thanks to inherited genes, have hips and a derrière that only a girdle could love and a bra that sighs with relief when I take it off. I wear a 10 or a 12 dress depending on the cut, but I had tried on an expensive ($400.00) dress similar to this in a medium earlier this year and the medium made me look like a human kite; so I gritted my teeth and ordered a small. The dress hits me mid-calve. I tried it with a strappy pair of black suede sandals (Refresh, also from Amazon), and actually felt glamourous. Also tried it with boots and a 3/4 length sleeveless camel-colored sweater. That was stunning! Throw on a chunky gold or silver necklace and earrings, and you have yet another look. Really adorable and versatile "little black dress."Another reviewer wrote something about the skirt being restrictive when she walked. Yes, it is a bit restrictive, but not worth giving a pass to the dress. It's knit. It stretches. The knit IS lightweight, but one winter hot flash and you'll be glad it is. The neck is tight, but that helps it lay nicely and not gap around your throat. And not so tight that you can't get it over your head. Again...It's knit. It stretches! Oh, one other benefit which I discovered while taking off the dress: You can pull the band of the hem up around your waist OR your hips, and it becomes an adorable top to wear with skinny jeans (NOT leggings or spandex unless you DO have a Lauren Hutton figure.)Buy the dress. If you don't like it, you can fuss at me. If you DO like it, go out to a restaurant and have fun! PS: Alas, it has no pockets. Hint to manufacturer...add them next season!

Nothing, but great!
This item exceeds expectations! I read the reviews, kept it in my wish list, and reread reviews before purchasing. I wanted a dress to cover my collarbone, pass my knees, cover my arms, lightweight and not sheer, feel like a maxi but appear flattering. This dress guys, does all that! It's very good quality material, it comes in a range of colors to cater to each person's taste and its easily adjustable when it comes to styling- dress up or dress down.I'm a college student and I work at a preschool, so being comfortable and looking put-together is what I need to be.I got a L and I was told even a M would've been flattering. I'll style it by throwing a vest on or a cardigan and converse sneakers.Three of my friends, mother and sister already have plans to order this too.

Enjoy this lightweight black “little” dress!
Very happy with this black little dress. Wear a long tunic with it and voila. You feel great. No worries about anyone seeing what size you are - it’s black after all. Very lightweight as well. Planning on getting another one to make sure I’ve always got one. Enjoy !

Flattering! Size down at least 1 size.
Despite multiple reviews indicating that the dress ran large, I didn't listen. Ordered my usual size (XL) and everyone else was right. It was waaaayyyy too big. For context, I am a 16W in plus and 18 in misses. I'm 5'4" and 220lbs and my weight is evenly proportioned. I reordered a large and it's fabulous. Truthfully, I could probably even go down to a medium, but I won't push my luck. The dress is great at camouflaging weight in your midsection while still looking nice. As for style, I think the dress is best for a casual outing, running errands, or just lounging around. You'd have to accessorize it majorly, including doing yourself up, to prevent exuding baglady chic if you wanted to wear it out to dinner or somewhere where you actually care what people think of your outfit. As for what others said, it is tight at the bottom and tapers in and you can't walk with your normal stride, but it's not particularly severe. I purchased black and it isn't see through, but I obviously can't speak to the other colors. Good value for the money.

THIN TSHIRT MATERIAL
Cut is nice, definitely something you can wear out with boots and look cute and yet be super comfy. Nice flow, pretty color, but surprisingly thin material. Says it's a 'knit' dress, but its thin t-shirt material. Not for warm weather unless you're layering. Definitely must wear a slip so it doesnt cling. Cute, but over priced for what it is.

Pleasingly surprised!
I'm not a dress wearer at all. I was looking for a bathing suit cover up but this is so figure flattering I'm going to keep it as literally a dress. I'm 5' 7" about 210 and this hides all flaws. I thought it would look like a sack but throw a long necklace on and it looks gorgeous and I look a lot slimmer! I'm ordering another color just to have. Can't beat that price! Oh and it's really comfortable!

Very flattering drape and shape.
In the dark green color, the cut and drape are unbelievably flattering for those of us with less-than-perfect figures. The style also provides good coverage. This is really my go-to dress. If black was ever available, or if there were other DARK colors, I'd get it in those too. It looks good dressed up with a prominent mid-length necklace. It is a light-weight, fine-knit fabric. In winter, in the desert, I wear a short cape or open sweater coat over it in the evening.

Terrific COMFORTABLE Dress!!!
I LOVE this dress! It is soooo very comfortable, slimming, and lovely. You can dress it up or down. I wear a 14/16 ... size 16 at the hips and the large was just perfect. Have already purchased more colors since it is so versatile and I can wear it anywhere.
