Like most industrial grade technical equipment this works well when you know what you're doing. The price/performance beats the non-Chinese-clone ones your granddaddy used, hands down. The downside is that the low price might trick you into thinking that since you can afford it, you can obviously figure out how to use it right. Not necessarily. If the pipe you're trying to measure has the wrong kind of turbulence in it, or if the fluid has too many bubbles or other impurities or inhomogeneities, you can get totally bizarre and confusing readings, like negative hundreds of thousands. What I just wrote is based on speculation after playing with it a while on some oil wells; I could be all wrong, I don't actually know anything for sure about when it was working right and when it wasn't, or why. Which is my point.So, if you are sure you know what you are doing, or you are willing to put in some substantial effort in playing around with it to learn how it works, then this is an incredible bargain. Also for what it's worth I was way more comfortable dealing with an Amazon seller than I was about the prospect of ordering it from any one of a hundred sellers on Ali Baba...
