I hate this metronome
I hate this thing.I was expecting a clicking sound like other electronic metronomes I have, but this one makes a really annoying beeping sound. I can't stand it. And it defaults to full volume when you turn it on. God I hate this thing. The other features are fine, but Jeezus, the beeping.

Great device for the price
For what you pay, this is a good metronome. I purchased it to have in my first aid pack at work should I ever need to perform CPR. It is nice to have something that can be set for 110 bpm keep you at the correct pace.Keep in mind that this device is made out of plastic and will not stand up to heavy use (or abuse). If you need something that you can throw in a case and expect to work over and over again this may not be what you want. If you want something that you can clip to your kids' music stand and leave in place then this may be the choice for you. From a use perspective, it has an on/off button that you hold down for 2-3 seconds to turn the device on. After you have it turned on, the select button (upper left) is used to cycle through the functions of the device. The up/down arrows allow you to select the setting that you want. One thing I noticed with my device is that it does not retain the volume setting when powering down (it does retain other settings). So if you had it set at a low volume, you may need to readjust before pressing the start button.

It might be perfect for you
I almost really liked this metronome and the reasons I didn't are pretty specific to me so it may be perfect for you. I'm learning the violin and I wanted something really loud so that I could hear it over my loud instrument. I read in other reviews that this is very loud. It was loud but unfortunately, not as loud as I'd hoped. It does tend to get a bit drowned out while I'm playing. I have to clip it on me, close to collarbone, to hear it clearly the whole time. I think this might be because I practice in a large room with tall ceilings and the sound might not be as contained as it would be in a normal sized room. The only other thing that I didn't like was the sound itself. This is 100% personal preference but the digital beep just kinda bugged me. Not that it was any more annoying than any other digital beep I've heard. I think I was just maybe hoping for a more traditional sounding metronome. If neither of those concerns sound like a deterrent to you then I'm sure you'll really like it. I still use it and it gets the job done.

I'm little but I'm LOUD!
This nifty little gadget can be heard over most instruments you can blow at it. I knew it was small when I ordered it, but I was a bit worried when it arrived because it is TINY.No worries. It's loud AF. Kinda like Will Smith's "Noisy Cricket" gun in Men In Black. (Yeah. I said it.) My daughter is practicing a lot of jazz and blues these days, and we can hear the metronome clearly over her (LOUD!) playing. It's also very simple and easy to use. My pianist kid loves technology and likes to goof off when there's tons of features. Fortunately there are just the right amount of features on this little metronome to not distract her too much from her piano playing. She loves it.The instructions are, like many imported items, written in broken English, but anybody who has a shake of music sense will be able to get around that. The battery was easy to install.Give it a try. You might want to don some noise-canceling earphones at first.... (I jest. But still. It's loud.)

A good tool for running coaches as well
Using this to help a runner gradually increase his cadence to 180. It is quick and easy to use, and attaches nicely to the brim of the running cap where it is easy to turn on and off between intervals. The volume can be made quite loud, or adjusted down to reasonably quiet. It would also work well attached to shorts, if the runner preferred that.

So far, So good...
I purchased this so I could walk stairs in my home without slowing down and to stay with a particular cadence. My job has fitness tests each year and this helps me to make sure I am with the program. It is tiny, and definitely loud enough for me. The only thing about this that I was not crazy about was the set up. It is nice that there are several options for people and the directions seemed to work just fine to get me to where I wanted it to be, but it took some doing. I am electronically challenged though, so take that with what you will. I will say that if someone I knew wanted the same thing, if I wanted another or if something happened to mine, I would not hesitate to repurchase this particular product.

inexpensive and easy to use
I purchased this metronome because I didn't need something with a ton of features I'd never use. This one is simple, inexpensive and easy to use. It gives you both audible and visual (flashing LED) cues to follow and has an earbud jack so you don't need to annoy anyone around you. It also comes with a battery which is a nice touch.

Revised my comments to acceptable.
I'm updating my comments and changed my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. I'm revising my comments. I think the spring is strong enough. I think Im thinking of adding a small piece of foam under the clip and that will prevent it from sliding off my music stand.I like that it is compact and can easily fit on my music stand. I did not give it a 5 star rating because the spring that forms the clip part of the Metronome is not strong, its weak. If I'm not careful it will fly off my music stand when I move a sheet of music. The product needs to be improved@

The media could not be loaded.
