EG-SM Microscope Eyepiece Eyeshields or Eye-guards

I wanted to get a second set of eyepieces for the 20x lenses that came with my AmScope SE400-Z series microscope so I grabbed these. They are actually made of a softer rubber and are a lot nicer than the ones that come stock with my microscope so it is more comfortable to use for extended periods of time. I'm not sure if these will fit other microscope models but with the AmScope SE400-Z they fit perfectly and are really easy to install and remove. These are a lot easier on the areas around my eyes and would definitely recommend them to anyone that might be looking for a second set or just a more comfortable eyepiece!!

These eye cups are a perfect fit for a Nikon SMZ-1 with 10x eyepieces. When installing them, they first go on and sit higher than they are supposed to. You need to be sure to push them on so the end of the eyepiece sits on the large lip inside the eye cup. After that, the eye cups are the perfect distance to rest your face on against and be able to see a full view through the microscope. If you wear glasses, you'll definitely need to remove them before using the microscope.

Fit my binoculars, though the size was slightly smaller than the dimension of outer rim of eyepiece. It stretched.

The eye shields fit perfectly !! They are nice and soft, and protect your glasses from contact with the hard surface of the microscope...plus on a shared instrument you can install/remove these as you use it, to prevent transfer of germs !! I'm Very Happy with These !!!!

I got these to replace the stock eye pieces for my Amscope microscope that were not holding on the eyepiece anymore. I thought they were a direct replacement but they are a step up. They feel better, they fit my eye better (they are curved, unlike the stock ones). Good simple upgrade to the stock kit.

The eyepiece shields are heavy duty, but the one's I was sent are too large for the standard eyepieces on my AmScope microscope. They are not one size fits all. I had to put my wife's elastic ponytail rings on the eyepieces to act as a stop so the eyes shields wouldn't slide down when I pressed my eyes against them.

We lost an eye piece from our microscope as we were moving the lab, so i bought these as a replacement. LOVE them - not flimsy, great fit on the scope, feel comfortable on the eye, the angle is perfect. Everyone has commented on what a difference they made.

Says it fits amscope but absolutely does not. Also doesn’t tell you what size these even are so there’s nothing but guessing. Terrible advertisement

Very simple part for the top of your eyepieces.For those who wear glasses or don't!!But needed anyway.

Grundsätzlich sind die Augenmuscheln von guter Qualität. Beide Muscheln sind exakt gleich hergestellt, das gilt für alle Details - insbesondere auch den innseitigen Okularauflagerand, der als Aufschiebeanschlag dient. Ich verwende sie für meine Olympus-Stereomikroskopokulare mit ca. 33mm Außendurchmesser. Die Augenmuscheln bieten in beiden Steckrichtungen eine gute Passform – sowohl am Okular, als auch am Auge. Die Augenmuscheln lassen sich um 180° gedreht aufstecken: Sie bieten entweder eine flache Auflage; oder einen verbesserten seitlichen Streulichtschutz im umgekehrt aufgesteckten Zustand. Außerdem, und das ist für ich noch interessanter, lassen sich diese Augenmuscheln sehr gut auf die originalen Augenmuscheln des Zeiss Victory 8x25 (Außendurchmesser von gut 33mm) aufstecken: Die Zeiss Augenmuscheln sind für mich etwas zu klein. Mit den aufgesteckten Augenmuscheln passt alles optimal: Das Fernglas liegt insgesamt gut an, es ist ruhiger zu halten und es gibt weiniger seitliches Streulicht. Der Augenabstand ist dann für mich perfekt, wenn die Zeiss-Augenmuscheln nicht ausgedreht sind.

I use these on both the 10x40 and 7x42 Swarovski Habicht leathered binoculars. These old-school porro prism binos are famous for having great optics but poor eyecups. These slip-over eyecups transform a frustratingly flawed set of binos into near perfection. No more difficult eye placement; I just lift them to my eyes and BAM. Once installed they stay put, which is great. Highly recommended.
