Amazon Essentials Sterling Silver 18k Gold Two Tone 2.3mm Twisted Butterfly Chain Necklace , (previously Amazon Collection)

I was curious as to which would be more predominate- silver or gold. Tome, the gold shows up more. It is very sparkle-y, very pretty. I am very pleased with this. I would not hesitate to buy another as a gift for someone. It is decent and strong/thick enough to hold a good sized pendant. Only its light weight gives it away as not expensive.The clasp is a flat lobster claw which I like it isn't bulky in width. The 2.3 mm size is about like a thin spaghetti - not angel hair but the "regular" thin size. I bought another 2 tone 14K yellow and white gold 1.2 mm (much thinner) chain earlier this year and I have both on together. This sterling silver looks just as expensive and even nicer next to the "real" gold one, and together you cannot tell which is the cheaper. The necklace is well made and the clasp is easy to use. I love the gold and silver colors together. The necklace is very pretty.

I love it, so sparkly! Glad I ordered it and wish I had ordered a couple more for gifts (currently unavailable it says now). If you get the chance get it. I've only had it for 2 days so I cannot rate it's appearance and sparkle after wearing it for awhile. But right now it is gorgeous!

I’ve wanted this chain forver now! I finally figured I could afford it since it wasn’t a necessity. The pictures show so much more detail and can see the trueness of the 3 colors together. N makes it look bigger n bulkier kinda chain. Got it yesterday, and I love it! Lil let down it’s not as “detailed” as the pics show. Almost looks like it’s just a gold chain sparkly n maybe some silver wrapped inside it. But still, I’m very happy don’t get me wrong! It looks amazing! Quality is super nice looks very high quality . I’d def recommend this still thiough, and I’d purchase another one! Thank u!

I bought this as a Christmas present for myself and I love it! I love the contrast of the different colors and how much the silver sparkles! It's very eye catching! It does get tangled in my hair sometimes, but not that often. So glad I bought this necklace for myself!

I like the chain, it’s nice, a tiny bit thinner than expected but it looks nice in person and in my opinion nicer in person than a lot of the review photos even show. My only issue is the clasp. The clasp is really small and more of an elongated shape. The jump “ring” is also very elongated and has flat sides. I find it very difficult to put the necklace on, even more difficult with a mirror. If the clasp or ring were a bit bigger and/or not so long and flat I don’t think this would be an issue. Because of the size of the clasp, it narrowly hooks on to the jump ring. I plan to replace these with other parts soon. Something to keep in mind when purchasing.

The chain is delicate in appearance, shimmers softly changing from gold to silver as you move, depending on the light. When I first saw it, I didn’t think it would last long. I bought it for special pendant that only comes in silver with small gold-plated designs. I planned to wear them both everyday. So I expected both pieces to turn silver. I also thought it might break long before. After months, it looks exactly the same as the day it arrived. I am definitely buying more. This is a beautiful, durable necklace and if you are reading reviews to decide, just buy it. You will not regret.

Gorgeous chain and nice thickness. Bought this for my daughter who has a matching set of ring and pendant but one is gold and one is silver. This will nicely complement both. I know she will love the set.

Update review: After 6 months, my necklace is now almost black in colour. Any gold that may have been plated is now gone and after wearing it daily for 7 months, I agree, it gets caught in your hair!!! Would not recommend after all unless you only buy it to wear on special occasions, but it won't last if you wear it every day. Original Review Jan 2019: Not exactly what I was expecting which was more of a "gold" chain. This is a two-tone gold and silver twisted chain. It is actually quite stunning. I bought it to go with a gold cross and there is enough gold that it works, but you could equally attach a silver pendant and that would work too. It is very "Sparkly" when the light catches it. Nothing like anything I have ever seen. If you are looking for a thick cheap solid gold looking chain, this is not it. But if you want something "different", then this is a good choice.

Very delicate chain, nice length, (I don't like chains which cling to my neck). Obviously, for the price I didn't expect a thick chain. Although small, looks pretty and catches the light, making it stand out a lot for the size.

Pros - it’s a beautiful shiny piece that looks like white gold and yellow gold mixed together. I wear it with my 24k gold chain and it looks really nice together Very long length (if you go for 24inch) and perfect thickness Cons - it’s super scratchy and it catches my hair (like baby hair) which is really annoying I’ve been wearing it for a couple days straight so I’m still waiting to see if it irritates my skin, I hope it doesn’t because it’s sterling silver so let’s see

I liked the length. Got it as a replacement for my broken chain.
