The media could not be loaded. My recent purchase of the Hosmart Intercom System was a great way for my family to communicate with our daughter who has Down syndrome. She has recently moved into her own space on the lower level of our home. The range of this intercom system was a very important factor. With the range of 1.5 miles we were very impressed with the clarity of the intercom speaker. There was no interference with the long range which was very impressive. Another great thing about this is how easy the buttons to communicate will be for her to use. One of the nice thing about this system is that it has a nice ring that you can hear across the house, it would even be able to be heard if I was vacuuming and my daughter called for me. The setup for this intercom system was very simple it was very laid out, simple easy instructions. I was able to set up the product in a only a minute. A very important aspect of this intercom is that it is compact and doesn’t take up too much space. It also has a nice look and design, it is very simple and doesn’t stand out. It just blends right into the surrounding decor. We posted this video with the review to show how fast she learned how to use the buttons on the intercom while saying goodnight to her father. We feel more comfortable knowing that if she has a problem she will be able to use this to communicate with us. We are glad that this is available on Amazon as we are prime members which gave us free shipping. We didn’t have to wait very long for it to show up either. We as a family highly recommended this product due to its ease, reliability and affordable price.

My garage is about 200-250’ from our house. This intercom works just fine. It’s clear and easy to use as it is to set up. One unit is in the kitchen, the other in the garage no problems.

Great product. I've owned three other intercom systems by other companies and none of them worked. The Hosmart intercom worked like a charm immediately. It's very simple to use, and pretty much a plug-and-play device. And, their online support - I had some difficulty activating my warranty - was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

We have only had the intercom a few days but it is so very helpful when one of us is in the shop and needs to communicate with the one in the house. Should have thought of these sooner. Delivery was on time and the units were in excellent condition. Installation was a no brainer. Just had to put them in place and plug them in. Would not hesitate to recommend these items.

I have owned 3 of these intercoms. 2 I purchased brand new and they functioned properly and that’s why I figured the refurbished intercoms would work great. Not so much! You can barely hear the person on the other end no matter how loud it is. Oh well you get what you pay for.

I gave it 2 stars because it basically works but is missing many things I need. The product is designed with good intentions but left a lot to be desired. First off, the unit only operates in half-duplex mode, meaning one party needs to press a button to talk and release it to listen. This makes hands-off operation impossible. Second, the unit must be plugged in, no option for batteries. This means wherever you want it better has an outlet. It also means the channel setting is lost once it is unplugged and needs to be reset next time you need to use it. If you only need 2 end units there should be a default mode of pressing the talk button to immediately call the other unit and release to start talking. Again once connected it should be in full duplex mode. A hang-up button (which is missing) can terminate the call. All these other buttons, Call, Talk, Group and Monitor can be reduced to just one. There, I gave my design, free!*Update: Changing to 1 star. One of the 2 units won't power up after just 1 week. Product returned.

This is exactly what I was looking for. My old ones were about 20 years old and one of them the mic went out. I didn't need 4 or 6 the two pack came in pretty quickly and work great on the default settings. I have no need to change them. We live in a pretty remote area and our house is huge just needed one down stairs to speak to someone upstairs. Thanks their great.

REplaced an older (15 year old) Radio shack intercom to go between buildings (100 ft distance). This unit looks nice and installs well, but the sound quality is poor. No static, just that audio is almost to the point it's hard to understand the person at the other end - both ways. Brought units closer and it does not get any better - so I surmise the units themselves have poor audio.
