That Old-Time Religion: The Story of Religious Foundations

Nicely put together, everything in this book is what we need to know about what religion is and has become. Bottom line we believe what we want. Recommend.

In the vein of other astrotheology authors he makes the connection between basic words/ideas in religious texts and then goes through the process of proving to you that your reality is created out of these meanings. Spending all of last summer reading Manly P Hall I treaded familiar ground here (I found Jordan Maxwell on YouTube lectures) and sort of wish these authors would present more and more of the direct relationships instead of what I feel is heading off into more obscure explanation and texts (Sometimes the authors quote ancient Egyptian sources which I feel is misleading...any Egyptian texts span literally thousands of years). The videos on YouTube are Excellent and I feel he heads into American mythology and dissects brilliantly. I look forward to reading more of his material

Everyone involved with religion should read this and and begin thinking

A quick read filled with interesting facts - I like how he lays out the facts in a way that anyone can understand - he lead me to the Manly P. Hall books which I believe is where he at least got most of this information if not all of it... I am now collecting them as I go - but Jordan Maxwell - his real name is Russell Pine... now there is some controversy about this author that I am not interested in pursuing - I leave it to you to investigate if you are interested in learning more about him... I'm simply grateful to him for leading me to Manly P. Halls books, this man was a genius and so very remarkable...

Found this book to be very insightful with regards to where the Christian religion came from, and how it has controlled the masses for so long. I unfortuanetly listen to Jordan Maxwell alot on youtube, so alot of the book was already known to me. That is why I am giving it 4 stars. If it had other information in it, which Jordan claims in his interview to read his books, than it would get 5 stars. Don't get me wrong though, this book is a great reference for me, and a great read for anyone who is just beginning the journey of finding out what the church (chiche) is all about.

Compares the similarities of all religions,messiah, flood etc.Jordan Maxwell books and radio interviews are always thought provoking,one exception I have is,he,like all investigators needs proof of existence,once the ancient libraries were burned to the ground all historical evidence was lost,so just to correct everyone I'll just say,there is God,Horus and Satan...choose wisely, as Horus and Satan work together against God.

This book answers a myriad of questions about mythologies and religions that I had never seemed to find answers for. The apparent reason was that most writings only go as far back as biblical times. Humanity's search for God doesn't begin there. I really appreciate these authors for sharing their extensive education and interpretations.

So far so good. I've only read about half of the book. Everyone should read this book. I've learned a few new things, but I was already aware of a lot of this information.All major religions are based in Astrotheology: The Sun, Moon, and Stars. People have no idea what they are worshiping

Short and to the point. Presented in point form so each fact you can look up yourself and do more research.
