Three Years Strong
I bought these in January of '12. It started with only one pair and then I purchased another to have all four speakers in my '96 Ranger replaced. I am using a Sony Xplode Head Unit that puts out 52Wx4 max.I bought these because I wanted a better sound for my radio and my stock paper speakers blew. Once you plug these in for the first time you will hear crisp highs! The bass will sound like it is lacking because you have to break the speakers in by listening to music. Don't push the speakers too hard until you get at least 10 hours on them. Once you get that voice coil ready to go this little speaker will put out a surprising amount of bass! Results for you may be different, but once I broke these in I turned up the Rear Bass Enhancement which cuts out all the treble and makes the rear speakers mid-bass speakers. My front speakers provide enough treble for my small cab. I am thoroughly pleased with the speakers' bass output and the people who ride with me are always impressed that drop in speakers can put out so much bass. The only thing I need to fix is my rattling (FatMat is a great way to do this btw).I have had zero problems with these speakers since the install and I know they will last because of the material used to manufacture them.BIGGEST CON: These speakers have great treble and bass, but they are quite lacking in the mid-range frequencies (no equalizer that I have tried has coerced these into pushing out mid frequencies). If you are a rock enthusiast you will like hearing the bass drum but you'll be missing out on most of the guitar. If you listen to mostly Rap, Hip-Hop, EDM, Trap, Dubstep, really anything bass intensive then these speakers will work wonders for you!

Hell yes buy these if you understand what it takes to drive good speaker.
I read a lot of not so good reviews here, well I am here to set the record straight. These speakers are great, great when paired with the correct stereo. I am driving them with a Sony with 17 watts rms per channel, but more than that I also ran good 16 awg speaker wire in place of the 22 awg wire that most cars have. Bass is only created by a speaker when the unit powering it has enough bsss drive AND power to move the speaker. So if you have a good "reliable name brand" stereo and you are using the very thin power robbing factory wiring this and any good speaker will not perforn. I purchased these speakers 4 because there max rms power was close to the power ratting of my Sony. This is another very imoprtant point to keep in mind. After connecting these speakers and running decent wire to them I found my self looking for loose screws and change that was making noise with my new found base. Do they generate sub woofer bass, hell no they are car door speakers, sub woofer bass comes from specially designed enclosures with 10 inch+ speakers and 300 watt+ sub amps.

Great product, great quality! Excellent customer relatons from this seller
This product came in a timely fashion abd fit my1992 Crown Victoria perfectly with easy installation. The sound is great for the price and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'd also like to point about that I bought this particular item from the seller Googol shop who was kind enough to upgrade my purchase to a newer model of the DS68 with a 200 watts peak. This was an extremely nice gesture that I appreciate very much. Nothing but good things to say about this product and the seller whom I purchased it from.

Not impressed, I was expecting more after reading all ...
Not impressed, I was expecting more after reading all the reviews. The speakers don't even fit my 2003 Tacoma.

These speakers are AWESOME!!!
Yes, these inexpensive speakers are really "the s***", but it needs an explanation. I have a 2010 Ford Focus SEL with the optional subwoofer. It worked brilliantly with the OEM door speakers, until I managed to blow one. Then, I replaced all of them with these Kickers. They were labled as " replacement OEM speakers". Yes, and no. Yes, they fit in the same space as the old ones, but no, they are not OEM replacements. The wattage of my OEM stereo is 22 watts. The wattage of my new door speakers are 75 watts. So, now Mr steroe sounds absolutely AWESOME, unless I want to turn it up over 45% volume. You will NEED an amp for these door speakers

Perfect for the price!!!
We own a '97 Mustang Convertible. This car came with the standard (non-upgraded) stereo and speakers. The entire system has seen better days and, with the top down, it is nearly impossible to hear decent music. The fact that the speakers are old paper cones doesn't help.I did replace the stereo at the same time as the speakers, so that also helps. The speakers can't take all the glory, but they sure help. The directions are extremely simple and easy to follow. They went on the stock location; couldn't be a simpler swap.Once it was all said and done, I couldn't be happier with the results. It sounds great, for a '97 Stang, they fit perfectly in the stock location, so no modifications needed, and it is not visible, I can now FINALLY hear the music clearly with the top down, and I didn't break the bank, so I got to purchase a Bluetooth compatible stereo. Couldn't be happier!!!

Pops Cracks Static
Got these to replace my Mustangs factory speakers and now the left speaker pops and has Static. I do not play my music loud enough to blow the speaker and it isn't the wiring already been down and replaced that. Its identical to the factory speaker quality very disappointed. So now I've got to contact Kicker for and hope they replace under warranty. Avoid these if you can and also same price at Walmart.

Installed in doors and behind seats on 1995 Ford Ranger
These are a significant sound improvement over the stock speakers in my Ranger. Much clearer on the mids and highs particularly, though not as much of an improvement on bass as I had expected and hoped. They are a simple plug and play install. Credit to the Ford designers for making this swap so easy.I purchased the set for the door first, and was pleased enough with the improvement that I purchased a second set for behind the seat. The rear ones did not make as much of a difference as the front ones. Some of that is due to the seats, and I suspect some of it is due to the fact I put in foam baffles behind the door set that I couldn't fit in the rear.I'd buy these again, and at the price they're a really good deal.
