I am so thankful I found these Palouse Brand Hard White Wheat Berries. The quality is absolutely beautiful—clean, fresh, and perfectly uniform. As a mom, it means everything to me to know what I’m feeding my family, and the fact that these are certified glyphosate residue free gives me so much peace of mind. I use these for fresh milling, homemade bread, and even sprouting, and they turn out perfect every time. The flavor is mild, slightly sweet, and so much better than anything store-bought. You can truly taste the difference in fresh, whole grains. The 25 lb bucket is a great value, arrived well-packaged, and will last us a long time. If you’re a home baker, homeschool mama, or just trying to feed your family real, wholesome food—this is a must-have. I will absolutely be buying again!

This wheat arrived quickly and was very clean and dry. For health reasons I started grinding my own flour, and this is the wheat I’ve been using to do so. Its flavor is sweet and mild, not too earthy. I have had no issues with pests or residue of any kind. This wheat makes the best dinner rolls I’ve ever had, but is suitable for sandwich breads and other yeast breads as well. I like to mix with oat flour for quick breads, as this softens the flour enough to give a more cake-like texture. I have noticed that the flour ground from this wheat tends to make a drier, more crumbly bread, not like store bought bread. There are ways to remedy this, but in general freshly ground flour absorbs more liquid than store bought white flour. I’m very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it for bread making.

This was an item I had been looking out for awhile as I wanted to make my own bread flour as the store bought stuff has lots of chemical in it which my family and I are trying to get away from. It is nice it comes in a sealed bucket which is easy to open and use the product inside. The wheat berries are very clean and not much debris inside which is always good. Once you grind up the berries, it feels just like the flour you would buy. I also like the idea you can plant the berry seeds when the time is right to have it keep coming as you need to. The bucket is so easy to store in my pantry and I like that it has a long shelf life.

I have been making my own bread from wheat that I grind fresh for nearly 50 years. I go through about 25-40 pounds a year. I was so glad when I found Palouse about 5 years ago. Not only is it reasonably priced (and free shipping, which is amazing for something this heavy), and not only is it, as they say, "Certified Glyphosate Residue Free ... Family Farmed in Washington State, 100% Desiccant Free... non-GMO Project Verified, and Kosher," but it is also CLEAN -- that is, I don't get a cloud of wheat dust when I open it or or find dust left behind in the feed tray of the grinder, unlike every other brand I have tried.

Wonder. The taste is amazing. Best wheat berries I have ever bought. This made my whole house smell amazing.

This is my 2nd time buying berries from Palouse. Both times the berries have been perfectly clean, and appear to be great quailty. These are quite a bit more expensive than buying in bulk from other sellers. However, the convienience of having them shipped to me and not having to take off of work to try to catch a truck makes it worth it.
