Fosbaby Digital Video Baby Monitor by Foscam - HD 720P, Night Vision, Two-Way Audio, Plug and Play, Lullaby Function, Temperature Monitor, and More (Blue)

I have several Foscams in our home to monitor the kids at night. I figured this one would be great as it had the additional sound feature,etc.. Nope, it doesn't work well. The IR cuts in and out during the night even if the room lighting is the same (dark). Network connectivity is intermittent as is the sound. I have to keep restarting the app to check on the baby. Not reliable enough once the babes moves out of our room...get a full feature camera (PTZ) to keep an eye on the kiddos and a cheapo sound monitor that you can also use when traveling. There still isn't a reliable all-in-one.

Pros:-The infrared LEDs are invisible to the eye, so that the baby does not stare at them-Temperature sensor is cool and seems pretty accurate-Lullaby feature is decent, you can upload your own to play-SoftAP feature is nice to set it up without having to connect an ethernet cable like other Foscam cameras-SoftAP feature would be nice if travelling and using it at a hotel or something-Video quality is good, night vision is good, framerate is better than my fi8921w v2. I get a pretty consistent 30 FPS with the FosBaby-USB powered and mentions being able to run off a 5000 mAh battery pack (5V/2A) for 6.5 hours, seems relatively low power-Mounting strap is convenient to tie it down to a crib rail (also includes a wall mount and uses the same tripod style screw as other cameras)-Size/quality/style - the camera is smaller than other Foscam cameras, seems pretty decent quality and matches the baby decor better than a traditional Foscam camera.-The packaging is nicer than I expectedCons:-DOES NOT HAVE PAN/TILT. I assumed it did based on the looks of the product and most other Foscam cameras having the ability to move it around. This was the biggest disappointment for me. You can manually turn the base (horizontal) and the camera (vertical) but it is just manual adjustments.-Very Bright Flashing blue light, you must cover it with electrical tape or something until they hopefully release a firmware update to disable the light, otherwise this defeats the whole purpose of having invisible infrared LEDs, the baby will look at the flashing blue light instead?-I had a little trouble with setup, it seems when I connected to the SoftAP and scanned for my wifi AP to connect to, the SoftAP disconnects and the UI starts timing out, you have to reconnect to the SoftAP to finish setup. I updated the firmware, and went through the wizard and eventually was able to get it connected to my wifi.-Price, it is a bit more expensive than other Foscam cameras with Pan/TiltOther notes:-I am using the TinyCam app on my Android phone to watch it, the app you see in their product video is just a mockup and does not exist. At least not yet, there was a mention somewhere of them releasing a new FosBaby app.

I bought this as our baby webcam. We have not had the baby yet, but I have been testing it out as a house cam and so far it has been great. I work in IT and have implemented a few different ip camera systems. This one is pretty nice as they incorporate a lot of nice features into a camera in this price range.The quality is very good, especially in the dark. The camera has a lot of the key features I was looking for. The setup was pretty simple for an ip camera. The foscam software makes it easy if you want a guided install. I really like the standalone wifi option, which will be great for traveling with the baby. Foscam has definitely been listening to a lot of the reviews. One of the new improvements that a lot of reviews had an issue with is the option to turn off the blue status light.This camera should be perfect for what we need. I have been using it with tiny cam monitor pro, which works great with the built in sensors as well as working on your phone as a background audio monitor. You can set it up so when the audio goes above a certain db the audio will play through the phone and you can have an optional alert too. I would love to have a background video monitor, like alert or popup when there is motion. (you can setup alerts on the camera itself though) With the 3rd party software it turns a great product with good software into a all around great solution. I would love to see them work on the foscam software as it is kind of basic. I know it is in beta, but there are some features that are needed to allow it to function as a smarter baby monitor. Overall I am very happy with the camera.
