Great calculator!
I have seen and used these over the years and have wanted one for the longest time. I had a specific need for one recently, and after borrowing one from a friend I decided to purchase my own. It was on sale for a lower price than I had seen it before, so that made it even better!I am in the trades, and my fellow workers and I have used these for years. The information is accurate and quick to retrieve. I usually internet search the information and sift through various sites to get what I need, while my buddies are punching the keys and getting the information immediately.Anyone that has ever laid out a rolling offset will know that this can be a challenge, especially when using unknown angles or fittings that have to be cut to make a specific travel, advance or roll. This calculator can do all of these things for you.Conversions are a snap, and during these processes there is a lot more information that can be accessed. The directions are very in depth, and there was a pocket manual included that fits into an opening on the back of the calculator so you have it at the ready when in the field, etc.I can't say enough about these calculators. This is the first one I have owned, but I have used them for a long time. I can't wait to toss the old scientific calculator and put this front and center on my desk. There are apps also available, but with a company provided cell phone, I didn't want to risk losing the app at some point... Hey, you never know :)

great tool to make the math a little quicker
This is a great tool. It helps if you know how to do the trig long hand. Because if you do not know what you are looking for in the answer, you could very easily get it wrong. The booklet that comes with it is helpful. But I don't think it covers everything, or could cover everything this machine could do. I find myself fumbling through it sometimes, as I have forgotten how to get the calculator to do the work. Part of the reason, is that I do not use it every day. So when I get back to a task that I use it for, I have to remember what buttons to use to do the math.

5/5
I think it’s a little high priced personally, but it does come with a few instruction manuals, pocket size quick reference. Not a fan of the case, but for someone who might be out in the field or outside working it would work for them better probably. I work in an office so I would have preferred a different case on it. But it works well, easy to read and handle. It’s got everything I need on there for angles/degrees, it’s got other things on there that I don’t have the slightest clue how to use but someone out there could find it useful so I included pictures of the keys. 5/5 pretty happy with it. Came in a timely manner

Essential for industrial pipe work, fitter or plumber.
Anyone getting into pipe trades needs to learn to use these. Phone app calculators are problematic because some job sites won't allow you to use your phone and even still every time you use your phone you risk dropping it on hard concrete. This just has everything you need and is durable enough to survive the work.

it looks like something even a plumbing engineer could use
I bought this with the thought that it provided a database of take-offs for fittings, which it does not. I have been using a generic construction calc. knowing the various multipliers for 22.5, 45 fittings and get the same results. I'm just a plumber, so I don't need the 'fitters' functions. If you need the advanced functions, it looks like something even a plumbing engineer could use. It's too smart for my requirements, but is easier to use after 20 minutes of reading the manual and playing with it. Definitely falls under the 'cool tool' category .....
