This is a great example of a product that only does one thing, and does it well. It isn't a PDA/cellphone/MP3 player hybrid whatchamacalit, it is a calculator. The screen is easy to see, and the contrast can be adjusted to improve visbility. The buttons are large. I rarely hit a button I wasn't intending to.If you are thinking about upgrading from a TI-83 you definitely should. I am math tutor, so I am very familar with both models. The TI-84 is loaded with useful applications that can't be found on the 83. For instance, the TI-84 has an application that allows you to graph and shade inequalities. It is a great application that makes it easy explain inequalities to students. You can also load flashcards on it with simple graphics, and even design quizes.I love the color. It is a nice soft pink that is very pretty. I've seen the calculators that are all pink and I think they are ugly. The all pink calculators are a dark purpely hot pink that is just glaring and ugly. The combination of soft pink and grey on this calculator is much more feminine and stylish. The cover also has a neat retro design.At first I thought it seemed kind of spendy for a calculator, but I have been very happy with this purchase.A word of warning to math students. Don't just assume that any ole scientific calculator will do. If the instructors says to get a TI-83/84 they mean it. Other scientific calculators don't have the same functionality and it can really put the student at a disadvantage. You can use EITHER the TI-83 or TI-84, but it needs to be one of those, and the TI-84 is worth the investment.

I needed to get a graphing calculator for college, and being in college I don't have a lump sum to buy a brand new calculator at Target or Walmart, so I bought a used one on Amazon. It came in the mail extremely fast, and it's in great condition. It didn't come with batteries, but it works great and it looks brand new, more than worth what I paid for.

I knew this was a refurbished calculator. That is why I read through all the reviews and there seemed to be more positive reviews than negative on the condition and quality of it. I was one of the unlucky one's. I was hoping to have received one in good condition. However, the keys have been worn off and someone has written in marker on them, which has also worn off so the seller taped a guide onto the calculator cover that my daughter will have to reference to know what keys to use. Also, it came very dirty and scuffed. The color is a hot pink, unlike the photo showing a light pink, which is what my daughter wanted. No USB cord included, although it states a cord is provided. It would have been nice to have directions on how to use it, as well. Overall, I’m very disappointed. Definitely not worth $86 for the item to be in this condition and missing parts. I would recommend buying one new since you don’t know what you’re getting when it’s used. Pay attention to the small print!

I needed a new graphing calculator for school this year. Though there are more advanced calculators out there, most (but not all) teachers prefer the TI-84s and teach based on them; if you buy a different model or make then beware. So I needed one for advanced algebra, but I didn't want to drop $160 for it. I was able to find a fully refurbished pink TI-84 Plus Silver for $79 with all the accessories and in perfect condition from "TexasDiscountElectronics". I was very pleased with my purchase and I got a great deal, and my order shipped very fast. The calculator had been refurbished to new condition, and I expect to use this calculator for many years to come.

I total regret purchasing this product. The seller said it was "like new" but it's far from that. It came very much used with writings on the cover and very dirty. Usually I don't purchase used products but I thought this would at least be barely used. It didn't even come with any of the required chargers. The only good thing was the fresh batteries... that's what saving me from giving it a 2 stars instead of a three. If i didn't need it so bad I would return. The color is not even what is pictured
