So obviously I’m going to love this one. So lets start at 5 stars.” It did not at anytime venture below 4 stars for me. This book much like book one kept my attention through it’s entirety. It’s a very emotional read and I felt everything from the hero’s tormented past and how it effected his present, to the pain that the heroine suffered after being forced away by the one person she loved so much. Both characters are flawed and realistic. Bronwyn was a strong female lead and rather then letting others walk all over her, she stood up for herself. Bryce is one of my favorite hero’s, he has a horrible past that he rises above, even if he thinks that he is susceptible to becoming his father. The “miscommunication” between the two is so heartbreaking that I found myself a little teary eyed while reading it, again I felt their pain. I really enjoyed reading this book, just as much as I enjoyed the first book. I’m not going to go into explaining the book to much because I feel like I wouldn’t do it justice by trying to explain all the things about it or in it. The story line is deeply emotional and it’s written wonderfully. The pages are dripping with sexual tension, and the steamy scenes left my skin all tingly. I have a feeling that I will always have a crush on this author. But have no fear, Natasha Anders. I wont like stalk you or anything……maybe I should have ok’d my husband going to Africa for work, instead of South America…hmmmmm…… OK, I’m just kidding about stalking but not kidding about loving your books. So, go and one click it now, you’ll love it. Also this can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading both books in this series since they are both great reads! Review: In my humble opinion - I liked the book. Bronwyn' s character was believable and likable. I was a little confused that she didn't put up too much of a fight when Bryce made her come back to live with him, after having been told by him to get out almost two years prior. But hey, she still loved the guy and hadn't wanted to leave in the first place (yes I constantly argue and play devil's advocate with myself as I read!) I really liked Bryce. You get to see this strong, slightly over confident man go from angry and arrogant, to heartbroken and lost. Really, how do you fix something that you broke, but don't have the confidence or understanding needed to attempt at any kind of repair work? Bryce has got some issues. He's a flawed hero who has to accept that he's just a man. I thought that the author did a really good job bringing him to life. Now, I loved, loved, absolutely LOVED the first book, The Unwanted Wife (TUW). Sandro imho is the perfect flawed hero who has to redeem himself in order to save his marriage and keep his wife. In TUW, Sandro' s got to get Theresa to forgive him for some pretty rotten things. In A Husband's Regret, Bryce has that same issue and then some. The man who Bronwyn first met (even I thought he was a hot sexy devil)isn't the Bryce we encounter as the story progresses, which just goes to show that facades can't last for long. I enjoyed the book. I gave it only four stars because Bryce is a Cryer (constantly crying, shedding tears or welling up over just about anything) I will put this down to his redemption and new found insight for others feelings. I am used to stories with Alpha males and although Bryce was a welcomed change, that man cried more then his two year old!!

Too many improbable happenings for one story. Book had potential to have been much better.
A Husband’s Regret is a stand-alone story with the early premise of an unwanted wife with a two year old child being located, and subsequently reunited with the husband who had rejected her after informed of the pregnancy. The book includes multiple sexual interludes which are sensuously described in detail. The story itself has a lot more meat to it than did The Unwanted Wife, book 1 of this series, but I found that book to be more believable. Most of the angst in A Husband’s Regret seemed falsely created, as if the author kept adding more and more story elements just to create a cohesive whole out of one which didn’t really exist. It felt like padding on top of padding, rather than a believable story. Here are just a few inconsistencies: It’s bizarre that Bronwyn would be desperately in love with Bryce, and yet, although having sensuous sexual interludes with him, start rejecting him right after he indicates that he wants to have a family life with her and their child. Additionally, Bryce's behavior of continually resenting Bronwyn for her supposed actions, and yet refusing to listen her side of what had happened, and after hearing it to even consider her side, makes no sense, especially given his obvious feelings for her. Also, a formerly hearing person who was subsequently deaf for many years would not have acquired the speech reading/lip-reading skills portrayed in this book by the character, who had experienced a more recent hearing-impairment. Many, many persons who use signing skills as a means of communication do not acquire lip-reading/speech-reading skills, and even those highly skilled with speech-reading (lip-reading) skills can discern only about 30 % of conversation. Admittedly, this unrealistic portrayal might have disturbed me more than others, as I had worked in a related field for quite a few years. Unfortunately I found myself struggling to get through this book, not really caring enough to want to read it to conclusion. There were too many improbable happenings within the one main story. This was disappointing as I had really enjoyed The Unwanted Wife, and had therefore quickly purchased Book ll of the series. Sometimes good development of a basic story is enough, and adding a tangled weave of numerous other happenings is too much. In the case of A Husband’s Regret, the numerous improbable happenings detracted from what otherwise would’ve had the potential to become a very good story. That being said, it must be pointed out that this author seems to be not only capable of better work, but also a writer with good potential. I look forward to reading other works by her, if only to determine whether or not the quality of book 1 of The Unwanted series is an anomaly, or representative of better things to come. My anticipation is that her better works have yet to be seen, but are forthcoming.

I really enjoyed this book by Natasha Anders, in fact I have enjoyed the entire series. Bryce is a tortured soul who had a gruesome upbringing, and finds it very difficult to relate with people. When his wife Bronwyn tells him she is pregnant he goes into meltdown, with disastrous results for both of them. This is a very emotional book, I will admit to a few tears in places, Natasha is very good at making her story lines and characters feel very real. Kayla, their daughter is delightful, and is written exactly as a child of that age would be. A really worthwhile read. It can be read as stand alone.

I started reading it but I couldn’t stand the main characters. So I skipped to the end and DNF it!

Similar formula, nice writing. This time though, the h was not a favorite of mine. And the misunderstanding has dragged on too long, so it worked less well for me.
