I literally can't live without my Alen! I got the BreatheSmart with the Fresh Plus filter for VOCs because of a nonstop cigarette smoke invasion from the neighboring apartments in my building. I've done so many seals and repairs, and if you have a secondhand smoke problem you'll need to do everything possible to first seal all gaps and floors, but then also add an Alen in every separate room. The purifier can't get all of the smoke out, no purifier can if it's a strong and steady smoke stream coming in, but he does a very good job at cutting down the residual stale smoke smell that had my apt smelling like a pull-out ashtray from a 1970's beater car on a Summer day. The air he puts out is smooth and silky, you'll definitely notice an improvement. (I additionally have a Whispure purifier that I got first for half the price of an Alen, but it is a far inferior machine). Alen's sensor is awesome and always lets you know about air quality changes, it's the real deal and seems to accurately measure your environment. I strongly recommend this product, but be careful because it may raise your electric bill significantly depending on how you use it.

I bought 2 of these my wife and i have winter headaches allergies sinus issues. Plus we have 3 dogs after 2 days i could tell a big difference and my wife after 4 days she can tell also .Very quit running you can not even tell these are even running. Well woth the money so far i would get the pre filter like i did to stop big items like dog fur in which you can just remove it blow off replace in which will make your main filter last a lot longer.I also like the light that tells you when to reorder your main filter.Yes you get what you pay for it is not cheap but i feel it work for years to come.

Easy to setup, the sensor works perfect I can turn on the oven which is 17 feet away and sensor turns red. Burn some incense in the bed room which about 55 feet away turn red . When on medium and high it a little Noisy, but put it on auto and as soon as the air clears up it goes to blue and you can't even here it. When I first got it I had on for four days straight.
