Hooked up easily, performs well.
This hooked up to my apartment kitchen sink quite easily. The bend in the hook of the drain pipe is too sharp to fit the front edge of the sink (tried to perch it there once and it made quite a mess when the first jolt of water bounced it loose!) so I pass it through the handle of the lid from a good-sized pan which I place in the sink and that holds the hose in place very well as you can see in the picture. The English of the translated instructions is amusingly cryptic. I wish they would send me the Chinese originals and I would be happy to provide a clear translation. The machine has four functions, which are shown on the indicator screen:1. Make Selections - the first function corresponds to 'aa', though that never appears on the indicator screen. You power on and then you select water level and cycle by repeatedly pressing the button for each until the LED display settles on what you want. In order to make it compact, they use a flashing light or a continuous light on the same LED to distinguish water level 1 from 2, 3 from 4, etc.2. Fill with Water. The display on the screen goes back and forth between 'bb', and the remaining time for the cycle.3. Agitate. The display on the screen goes back and forth between 'cc', and the remaining time for the wash cycle.4. Spin. The display on the screen goes back and forth between 'dd', and the remaining time for the cycle.Press and hold water level button - adds water. The water level setting can be reset during the cycle after pausing. The machine is surprisingly quiet on both agitate and spin. It does a good job of getting clothes clean. The Air Dry cycle on this model is a 30 minute spin function. It does remove some additional water beyond what the spin on the standard cycle extracts from the clothes. It does not however get the clothes quite as dry as the older, dedicated centrifuges that spun at 3200 rpm (which Panda still sells). My machine came with some deformation of the plastic on the front where two parts of the containing shell overlap, similar to what others have shown. It's cosmetic and I don't care. It took a while before I even noticed it. I considered trying to pry it back into shape and thought better of it - the plastic will probably break. No effect on function or even overall appearance.I have given it a pretty thorough workout in the last few days, clearing the rather considerable pile of laundry that accumulated after I decided to buy a machine rather than go to the bank yet again for more rolls of quarters. It works well and the clothes come out clean. It makes a series of very piercing loud beeps when the cycle is done - too loud in some situations if people are sleeping, etc. I recommend getting a dolly for it to live on. It's a good deal bigger than I imagined. Happy with purchase!

Great for small loads
We've had this washer several months and are very pleased with the results. I had originally ordered a cheaper portable washer that was not automatic -- opened the box, took one look and returned it. The idea of having to go through multiple steps to fill and empty seemed like a hassle. This machine is fully automatic and has a larger load capacity (very thankful for that). However, I will say that I usually pause it during one of the rinse cycles and untangle some of the clothes which have gotten all tangled together (I think moreso because there is no center agitator to keep the clothing separated better.) My guess is that it holds about 1/3 of a normal load that I would put into a commercial washer. We keep it sitting raised on milkcrates in a standing shower stall which we don't otherwise use. The drain hose sits right on the floor of the shower stall and drains there (which is why we have the machine raised up so it isn't sitting in standing/draining water). I did run into a small hiccup when attempting to connect the existing hose from the shower (once the shower head was removed) to the hose provided with the machine. they were both two different thread sized so I went to a local plumbing supply store in West Los Angeles and got lucky -- even the guy working there was suprised they had a certain connector/adaptor -- he put two together and it worked like a charm for $6. I think I got lucky there. I recommend the buy.

Great for camper!
We bought this product for our camper. We absolutely love the compact design and are very surprised at how well it performs. It takes dirt right out though deeper stains can be a bit trickier. It also fits quite a bit more than we expected. It's quiet and doesn't vibrate or shake much. It did arrive damaged like other reviewers had mentioned however, fortunate for us, it didn't seem to affect the function (and with it being in the camper, we don't expect it to look beautiful for long anyway!).

Works beautifully, makes apartment life so much easier.
I bought my Panda 2 years ago for $263 - it's paid for itself and is still going strong. No mechanical problems whatsoever, it gets my clothes really clean and rinses well if I don't over-do it on detergent.Tub capacity varies. It does a great job on a single queen sized sheet, not so much for a full set. I go 3/4 full for light clothes - tee shirts, socks, undies and light dresses/skits and 1/2 full for jeans, heavy towels and similarly dense fabrics. Any more than that and you can tell it's working too hard. The Air Dry cycle was a pleasant surprise - it cut the time it takes to hang-dry stuff in half and works so well that I rarely use my building's coin-op dryers. Other pleasant surprises: it was easy to take off the back panel to switch the drain hose from the left side of the machine to the right. I was able set up a permanent home for it next my tub/shower with a standard washing machine hose, diverter and threaded brass pipe reducer. It's an awkward fit and not exactly pretty - but so, so much more convenient than rolling it around.A few minor details would make this even better: 4 wheels instead of 2 for folks who do need to roll it around. The control panel seems to have rinse options based on the amount of detergent used, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to use it. The drain hose hanger/brace thingy doesn't hold the hose up very well, it always slips to the floor. Overall though this is trivial stuff compared to the great value. Thank You!
