Loose tea does not require a strainer
Excellent tea, bold flavored and malty. And Barry’s loose tea can be brewed and successfully poured off without the need for a strainer, since the leaves sink to the bottom of the pot.

True Irish tea.
Plan on taking a trip to Ireland soon & a friend told me that everyone there loves Barry’s loose leaf tea.(A true & serious tea drinker never uses bagged tea)! I must admit this tea surpasses all others I’ve ever had.Full bodied & strong enough to stand up to milk & sugar, but never bitter. Plus making a full pot of loose leaf tea is actually quite soothing. Letting it steep & pouring it into a beautiful porcelain cup is just so satisfying, calming & so European! Also I look forward to trying to “read” my tea leaves at the end. My Irish gramma would be so proud. Try it… it’s delicious!

Best tea EVER!
I decided to try it as a joke. It's the same brand tea that Mrs. Brown drinks on the TV show Mrs. Brown on the BBC. This tea is an AWESOME full flavored tea. A lot of people are picky about the tea that they drink. I bought the loose tea because I use a tea steeper. You can also buy it in regular tea bags also. Try a small order first. I think you'll love it!

“Best tea ever”
I’ve seen several comments about how the tea looks. It appears to be rolled into little balls to me.When brewed, they unfurl. There has only been maybe less than a teaspoon of tea dust in the very bottom of the bag, and I have gone thru several bags. Which is quite acceptable to me, and understandable, given that it endures international shipping, and is a dry plant product.Flavor is very fruity, mild, pleasant and malty to me.But I am not a tea connoisseur, just a tea lover.MY method of brewing: Heat a 10 oz. Yeti cup with handle, Pour out about a half teaspoon of Barry’s tea into a Finum mesh brewing basket.Set it in the cup. Gently pour boiling water through basket. Lift basket up a couple of times until the color of tea is what I want. Remove basket. It may be possibly used again for another cup, depending on how much tea is in the basket. You can instantly SMELL it’s pleasing aroma.I do NOT get a strong tannin taste, unless I leave the tea sitting in the water too long.I drink mine plain, without milk and it is perfect for me.I think this brand is better than Taylor’s Gold. And definitely better than (not comparable to) anything I have tasted from USA stores.I have been in a long search for the perfect tea, and have found it here.

Tastes great iced. Mammy Brown's Builder's Tea.
If you watch Mrs Brown's Boys, this is the same tea that she has on the counter waiting to share. Pretty good tea that tastes great Iced. Bulk Tea and a small leafed tea, so when you open the bag be careful as it may go everywhere.

A good everyday tea.
I discovered this tea while vacationing in Ireland and searched for a source in the U.S. as soon as I returned home. This is now my weekday morning tea. There are better (i.e. more expensive) teas, but I save them for weekends and special occasions. I like my tea strong. I brew it for 6-7 minutes with 212 degree water and I find it to be strong but not bitter. It holds up well if you use milk in your tea. Amazon has just recently started carrying it and they are cheaper than any other source that I know of. I just want to know why Amazon ships a 6" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" (48.75 cubic inches) package of tea in a 16" x 12" x 5-1/2" (1056 cubic inches) carton. This is not the first time I've received something in a box much larger than the item shipped. Guess that's why our Prime membership cost has risen to $99.

Such beautiful color
Love Barry’s tea mainly because of the rich golden color. I make my tea in a large teapot. Just throw in the loose grinds and let them steep 3-4 minutes. The tea settles to the bottom and none comes out in my cup. The taste is good. Not sure how many servings I get from a box but I’m guessing price per serving is kinda high. I would buy this again. I enjoy it

Delicious, malty, dark tea.
I take my tea black. There is no other way. So without the cover-up flavors of milk and/or sugar, my tea has to be stand-alone delicious. I love rich and malty flavors that are potent but not bitter or flowery. Barry's delivers spot on! I rank it just about as high as my loose-leaf PG Tips. I think I will keep them both in rotation.
