Works Great
I purchased this to adapt my coil machine to use cartridges.... It works flawlessly, you need to use the correct length push arm, but that's as simple as changing it if it is too short, as it comes with 3. I like that it can change the depth of the needle without loosening anything, but now I can use my flat/mag needles at an angle by turning the cartridge. Also has a very nice weight, i was used to the weight of a large stainless grip before this one arrived, and was not disappointed, it is solid feeling, and has been working absolutely problem free.

Nice product for the price, careful adjusting depth while running machine.
My coworker has a couple and recommended. He said he had to modify his and drill it out to be able to fit a cartridge it in his, but mine came functioning with the correct fit. He said it was worth it even if it needed a bit of drilling. But that’s not why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars... I think they work great, they click turn to adjust depth well without slipping during use, buuuut I did recently experience a problem where the little ball on the end of the plunger had broken off mid tattoo, that caused the needle depth to shorten and I didn’t realize why because I was switching cartidges so much during my work. I tried to turn the grip several times to diagnose why it wasn’t changing the depth but as it was still running the exterior shell of the grip and the tube had reach the end of the threads inside the grip and the spring inside had enough tension to propel it off the tube with the needle lodged inside sticking out. It’s not broken except for the easily replaceable plunger, but was stressful messy and tedious to resolve mid tattoo. Still worth the buy, but just be careful when adjusting the depth and not being aware of how close to fully unscrewed you are.

heavy - i like that.my only complaint is that the twist action is a little too solid. it would turn in my vice on occasion as i adjusted for needle protrusion. as i use it more, perhaps it will smooth out.but it is otherwise built very well. i am a quality engineer for a large manufacturer when i'm not tattooing & would be happy saying my company built this.

The grips are perfect size and very comfortable but depending on where you live, you may not be able to use them because of the packaging. They were in cellophane/plastic sleeves so our health department didn’t consider them to be “sterilized” and we were unable to use them.
